Mad respect to you guys for "making it" but then realizing it wasn't fun and changing directions. Takes a lot of guts to walk away from a path that provided for you and your families into an unknown outcome! I have to admit, watching you guys make 2 dimensional table tops was starting to lose some of the appeal of seeing what you guys were into. This new road you all are undertaking is going to bring new life back into your channel. Hats off to you for trying to become the best woodworkers out there. Aim for the stars gentlemen you may just find that you you can actually reach them! You are already talking about doing cool stuff that has piqued my interest. Fricken making chisels??? that's way out in left field but totally awesome! I just finally started to receive my Veritas PM -V11 chisels that I ordered last July! They still owe me my 1/8" but I love the set!. Cant wait to see some of the furniture pieces you guys come out with. I love the stuff 4 Eyes on KZread come out with but frankly, I don't like their nerdy approach to KZread. You guys on the other hand are just yourselves and you will rock this! PS more live streams while you guys work!

I've experienced burnout making flat stock this holiday season. I'm in central florida, and there is no shortage of bbq guys wanting huge brisket cutting boards. I had to make a change. I got a lathe and started turning wood this month. Hopefully, making content can help give you the freedom to do different things in the future. Good luck.

The monotony of a production line must be like slow torture to a creative person. Having been in skilled trades in an auto plant i have no idea how those guys and girls did it day after day. The thought of shooting the same ten screws for years would drive me nuts.

Hard for me to understand… Sustainable money for day to day living you don’t seem to care about. Is money coming from other sources is the reason you just don’t care about the business side? If so, I can completely understand. I have a very successful wood shop but I never let go of the business side. Actually I now have someone hired to take care of that side for me with a percentage split and works great. But you guys seem to not want to make money at all and just want to build and design. Nothing wrong with that at all just wondering if I’m hearing this right. The fly fishing rack looks like it’s going to turn out cool as hell. I know what you mean by putting the time into it to make it a one of a kind bad ass piece though. It just takes up way too much time.

One of the smartest things we’ve done is to own everything rather than finance anything. This has led to a low cost of living. On top if that, we do have multiple streams of income. Woodworking is no longer about the money to us. We have tried multiple times to hire people and scale, but we always end up in a situation where work slows down and we go broke trying to keep our employees paid. One month of that and they are gone.

I know you guys will be successful in whatever you do. I am a little bummed that you’re going to shift away from the business side of things. Though I definitely understand the desire to not do the same thing every day. I’m tuned in for whatever comes next
