what a great car. you need to do a video reviewing and driving it
very impressive testing. Is there a consumer coating you would recommend more than this one?
Thanks for the time you take to test the product.
Agree with all these statements, these so called permanent coatings are a pain when it comes to fixing a scratch. Bought a new car and the dealer was almost screaming that It needs these things to protect it from the elements 😂 chips, ice snow, rain and the bubonic plague will stay away .. I like wax and sealant’s take care of it every weekend and enjoy the process of cleaning my car.
What would cause a cracking effect after spraying the clear. Its not actually cracks but looks like cracks or spiderwebbed looking cracks all over??
I wonder that zenki still stock today
thanks
NO NEVER USE THAT CLEAR COAT! USE the Meguiars Headlight Coating spray it has UV protection to last you way longer than that clear coat your using. It will turn yellow as it has no protection from UV rays.
Clear coat is much better and lasts much longer, because it protects from UV. The Meguiars product literally says its up to 12 months of protection. Thats not much, clear coat will last for years.
Turtle Wax “Wax & Dry” is the easiest stuff to use. You can put a coating on your car that lasts for a few washes as you dry it after a wash. It’s easy to use, takes no extra time and is inexpensive…$7 per bottle.
Is this the same as Adam's Polishes Advanced Graphene Ceramic Spray
You recommend those Oil Extractor Pumps to Change Oil ?
I just got Artdeshine PRO NGC professially applied. Do you think it will be ok to top it myself with Gtechniq EXO?
You don’t need to put topper, I’m a ArtDeShine NGC installer , I have mine in my car for 3 years now , always getting tortured in the sun every single day and with iron contaminant, I wash it every 2 months. It doesn’t show it slowing down
So you’re saying Avalon King ceramic washes away completely after 3 normal car washes. Lol
I give your application process a solid D+ grade at best, for both products... You should of used a small micofiber towel, not that big ass beach towel, and sprayed more than you did.. I find bc you did a pour job applying the products, it showed in the product test results.. If I was a paying customer and watched you spray so cheaply, I'd want my money back.. Very disappointed in this review....
Sorry that you didn’t like the review. New one for me, because I’m usually accused of being a product waster. With spray sealants I find the most effective application is about what you saw. It avoids streaking and a mess to clean up. Keep in mind these products are incredibly thin layers, nothing nearly as thick as paint. You don’t actually need a ton of product.
That should be a 150$ kit basically just a hose a air filter and the stock airbox with a side cut out
Hi , can u apply sealant on the windshield ?
I would use a silica based spray instead personally
Would you recommend a brand ?
Emery cloth not sandpaper. Sandpaper will dissolve with water
Would it fit a b9 s5?
Yea it should be fine.
Turtles spray contains Methyl Alcohol, so be careful when using it Because of this ingredient, it is prohibited to import and sell in S.Korea.
I suspect it is a very small amount of methanol since it's not obviously detectable. Methanol is not good for you to consume, but it's not a super dangerous chemical in general. I can understand why Korea doesn't want it in consumer products though. Why I always say wear gloves at minimum.
99.9 % of people CANNOT apply a ceramic coating properly.
The only downside is the vibration on tick over, but ok once revs over 1000rpm
can you use on headlights?
Yep
Dmitry, every one says you take care of a last step protection to make it last.. proper maintenance etc... your tests show abrasion to determine how long a coating or sealant could last... so my question is, if abrasion removes the coating, wouldn't washing your car less, make a coating last longer....?
I am a Artdeshine installer and the absolute minimum is 5 minutes up to 15 min so only letting it dwell 20 seconds surely short handed the product.
Yea its unfortunate they shipped it with old/misprinted instructions.
Update: it worked out great thank you so much. ( Dealership scuffed one of my new tail lights after an oil change. Thanks for this video I'll be using it to fix my tail light
I'm simply trying to find a product to apply to my motorcycle windscreen that will provide some enhanced scratch protection. What would you suggest?
Definitely paint protective film. That will actually do what you want. There is no product you can wipe on that will protect from anything more than superficial scratches and swirls.
My gripe is marketing self healing coating, which theoretically possible means it must be pliable. Rocks that remove clear remove coatings too!
I've had great luck with Gyeon Q2 Quick View. I find I rarely need to even use the wipers, which is a tribute to its effectiveness and enhances its life.
DIY Ceramic Gloss works really well as you showed. Used up my first bottle and have a another in reserve. Yes, it's been hot here in north Houston between the storms.
When you talk about stronger products which are the ones you would mention ?
it looked great at first it I sprayed a bit of more clear coat and it went back to foggy, do I have to reset the whole process again?
It may have set poorly. Is it very humid where you are?
@@DmitrysGaragenot at all it’s very hot, I’m guessing it’s because I just sprayed too much since at first it looked brand new and then when I said another spray, it went back to foggy
Thanks for using DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss
My pleasure 😊
Found this channel on the cleaner cast. If you liked that sponge, try one made in the USA like McKee’s 37 or DIY.
Thanks for watching The Cleaner Cast today and for checking out my channel. I've got the DIY sponge recently so I'll be checking it out soon, haven't played with it yet. Will keep the McKee's in mind too.
Dmirty - the coating looks amazing - for the durability test did you put one or two layers on the black panel. Did Ethos design this to be a one or two layer coating?
Thanks! I used just one layer, I don't think you will need more than one layers for a successful and long lasting application.
I've had my car 20 years 😅
Presta UV crème wax, is it the best by far, any opinions
Dmitry, thanks for the video. Speaking about detail sprays, have you tried Pro Wax Synergy Ceramic Detailer? I received it in a monthly detailing product subscription. When I ordered it last time, it was only $30 a gallon. The detailer you used cost $99 a gallon. I have never done a side by side comparison, maybe a new video for you? Also the tire dressing from Obsessed, looks like Blue Ice, Pro Waxes tire dressing, also $30 a gallon...
I haven't yet, there are just so many out there. For $30 a gallon that's a great deal though! Wonder how they'd compare. Hard to say if Blue Ice is the same or not, I'm not sure who the underlying formulators are, again though that's a steal for a gallon if it works well!
@@DmitrysGarage Thanks for your reply! I am always searching for "Bang for the Buck" products...
Glad you enjoyed the OG Tire Dressing!
Thanks! It's definitely good stuff :)
How many cars would one bottle do you think?
One full size car with some left over, or one full size truck if you're not wasteful of product. Two small cars is a mayyybe, you'd have to conserve product.
Great video Dmitry, thx
Ur vette looks fantastic. I emailed u a few times no response. Everything ok?
Thanks Richard! Sorry had the storms and then was traveling so hadn't had a chance to reply. Luckily things ok here, just no power for a while.
Awesome video and product review/content good friend
Need a C6 detonated diamonds by DIY Detail durability test!! Great video!
Good news, the fine folks at DIY Detail have sent a C6 kit my way, so I will have it tested soon!
@@DmitrysGarage hyped, can't wait!
Waiting for your test results of the Cerakote V2 Ceramic coating
Will get to that one at some point for sure.
I love the DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
First!!!
Which jackass switched glass for plastic and created worldwide chaos?
I like this stuff.I have put 4 coats on my SUV and I still have about 3/4 of a bottle left.I did do a claybar before I put it on and it holds up very good. The shine is crazy and it goes on easy.I put an extra coat on after one day to get it to pop even more.I will be trying the trim wipes next.
For the rear subframe inserts, 034 Motorsports states you can reuse the hardware. However, since they're stretch bolts I just wouldn't feel comfortable with this. I ordered the replacements and I'm so glad I found this video and the associated part numbers/qty in the description. Thank you so much for a great video and assist on part numbers.
Try ethos ezpz please 🙏
