Mine is going again but i keep getting the p 049 error and some times the P029900 fault.
Will the 034 app take place of the VDCS SW?
or CanChecked?
It goes to show that a lot of auto-detailer KZreadrs are just peddling snake oil salesmen when they promote waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings as UV protections for your cars. The best UV protections are your clear coat and parking garage (if you have access to one).
Haven’t tried the glass bottle coating, but that brand is just as bad f11 in my book. They market that topper they gave you as a true ceramic coating for $35+ for an 8oz bottle. Had a customer bring me some he wanted applied on his car and it is a pain in the ass to apply and get streak free.
Jet Seal is overhyped garbage. I used it 7 years ago and it helped me realize Chemical Guys is a marketing machine for low grade products.
There is no such thing as a PERMANENT restoration. I'm in the business. Please STOP telling customers that because it's disingenuous and causes customers to expect more from business owners who restore headlights like myself.
Sure, this is essentially as permanent as a restoration gets, meaning it’s not a process that you have to repeat annually or similar. Same as swapping the lenses, they will eventually fail too. This car still looks great. Im looking at it right now.
@DmitrysGarage How long does it usually last?
Hopefully this is my issue. Won’t hold boost until car warms up, and sometimes it’ll hold boost cold.. so I just ordered my diverter valve..
❤great processing
youre the man
Will you be reviewing C6 ceramic?
Awesome videos!
This stuff is like $24-25 a can on Amazon 😩 is that standard price? Best place to get this?
Yea that's pretty normal. They also released a headlight specific can recently, which is supposed to be even better. It may not be a free fix, but it's a nice one with long lasting results.
@@DmitrysGarage I agree, plus one can lasts multiple headlights. I ordered one yesterday
@@DmitrysGarage if it's automotive clear, could i theoretically use it to redo the clear on my trucks hard shell topper?
I stopped watching the video after the statement "no one keeps there cars over 10 years" FALSE !!!
Lol
Dude.....I hate 90% of all the detailer channels....always so vague with no definitive conclusions....you are SO much better and organized.. Glad I found your channel. Subscribed.
Thanks, thats high praise indeed!
Hey Dimitry, fantastic review. We’re glad you got to test out Carbon Flex! As you mentioned in the video, it’s very common for gloss to diminish initially after applying a ceramic coating, especially when applying to a machine-polished panel. We’re so glad to see that you tested the durability of the product after dozens of washes as well. The durability is where Carbon Flex really shines compared to everything else on the market (at least from our internal lab testing.) Our CEO Michael is going to reach out via email to thank you personally for the review and wants to set up a call with our in-house Chemist, just for clarity’s sake (no pun intended.) Anyway, thanks again for the thorough review. Keep it up!
Awesome, thanks for setting that up! Very excited to talk to your team and learn more :).
Awesome!
Very thorough. Love your attention to detail and easy to understand explanation.
Great video . Appreciate you taking the time to help fellow detailer and weekend warriors 😊
Seems like there is correlation between jetting and gloss. High jetting equals lower gloss and vice verse
Sorry, im probably being thick, but what do you mean by jetting in this context?
Thx Dmitry, like the durability but dont like the drop in gloss. Needs to go back to the chemist i think.
I think as with all products there is a strong and weak area, don’t think ive found one yet that nails everything. Think its ultimately what makes the most sense for each use case.
I know Nexgen has said this is best used in tandem with their ceramic spray as a topper after applying carbon flex, which enhances the gloss and slickness.
Which is the combo we saw here.
Lumpy light reflection on the car. Why is it like that ? Shouldnt it be a straight line ?
Fantastic work as always, Dmitry. Looks like it's more my level of skill compared to the Ethos you did last time.
Thanks 👍appreciate you watching :). May be a bit easier than the ethos, yep.
First!!!!

Great job! I Have a 2006 mdx and i will try this fosho!! THANX 4 THE VIDEO!!
You did this the hardest way possible. A chain pipe cutter works great back and fortg a bit cuts pipe easily, just measurenwell. Dont have to drop the rear boxes at all. But hey it worked out fine. This for 400bucks is the best exhasut mod a guy can get. Adds the most rich non rasp non drone sound. I have stock dps but jhm test pips with this xpipe set up and its fantastic. I came from subies, and my wrxs were loud. The trick is to get some performance get the volume, without the drone. I see a ton of audi guys complain of drone but to me maybe it isnt as noticable. I dislike rasp. Where it almost sounds tinny. The tinny sound is disgusting. This gives it some depth and some tuned type sound and kills all of that timny rasp
what is the part number for plactic screw holding oil drain?
Hes not reading a script. How dare u in my gretta voice
As someone who has applied ceramic to literally thousands of cars I wouldn’t recommend anyone but a trained installer do a dark coloured car. They show everything and high spots really stand out. That being said, dark coloured cars are the ones that stand to benefit most from the environmental protection offered by a coating. Ease of cleaning alone
easy use and better than gyeon ceramic detailer,i think...but detailer have better shine:D...maybe not.... dont think over too much wax-es and ceramic-s.... :D
Its 5 min, up to 10 min for flash time. Thats why it is a lil tacky.
Yea it looks like they updated their documentation since I got my unit.
I’m a client of Artdeshine’s nano graphene coating. As my cars black, you can see the tone of my black is different as the gloss is deeper and glossier even next to a same car with generic ceramic coatings. Been using it since the first version of the product.
When I first was first learning to detail a very long time ago I came across Klasse AIO. I absolutely loved that product as an easy "I want to look good without putting in a full day" approach. I believe it was popular a long time ago. Do people still use that or have things moved on that much? FYI - I watched this video without being logged in, but wanted to like and comment so I made sure to log in after I was done.
Awesome review! This is some next level testing !! Thank you!
You totally answered this persistent doubt I had! Thanks for sharing this
Thanks for sharing!! You convinced me to try them both now ajajja
Impressive review.
very helpful on my 2018 SQ5 brake fluid replacement yesterday. Thank you!
I know this video is a year old, but ... I thought this coating was supposed to be done in 2 coats? Also, was it allowed to cure for the recommended time? I thought maybe you said it called for 7 days?
The cuts are super fast and is making me nauseous
Sorry to hear that, the jump cuts are bit of a balancing act when trying to squeeze every step of a turbo swap into a reasonable length video.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the Ultra Safe Sponge keep up the great videos!
Thanks! :)
You should have the car up and drain from the sump plug
Thats not the primary method in the factory service manual, but it is an optional method. There is no reason to do it from the bottom if you have a pump.
While watching this video my handy- dandy 'porkymeter' needle stayed firmly in the green area! Good down to earth video sir.
Dmitry, i wonder why people like 303 aerospace protectant as its main claim to fame is UV protection? boggles my mind. Assuming that product is full of it as well regarding UV blocking.
I like the product but I don't like the smell. It smells like vinegar. I suggest Cerakote can put some good scent into their product.
Great testing video - really good work!
I had one packet that was completely dry. I opened another and it was wet with product. They should just give you a liquid bottle with the purchase not these little ass cubes that are sometimes dry.
The waxes weren't done......yeah crazy beads were not happening but you can clearly see very good sheeting when you call things "Done".
Thing is, Clear coat was invented in the 70's to protect the paint. And the clear coat has UV blockers. If you take care of it with simply washing with a soft cloth and a light wax you'll be fine. I clay bar and wax my own vehicle twice a year. looks like new.
If Ethos claims this Max 7 year coating is the toughest on the market, then why is their Graphene Pro rated at 10 years? and the Max cost more than the Pro? I'm guessing they mean Max is the toughest non Pro coating? I want to get 1 of the 2 but I'm confused.
Is there any coating that gives uv protection? I live in Phoenix AZ and the sun kills everything!
