    I will have to disagree.. I spent 2 yrs educating myself on speakers i could not afford. once my budget forced me down a bit it came to the polk or the sony. both were about the same price but the sony speakers are the real winner. in the end it comes down to everyones personal taste.

    Awesom review bro thanks a lot! super easy to understand and also with nuance. What does a "powered" speaker mean? Is it that the speaker has inbuilt preamps? I think this will be the go to player for me as I just want it to be seamless

    For me there is only one answer: the Large Advent Loudspeaker. They sound like rock and roll, and bring out the best in vinyl with a deep chesty sound and adjustable treble level. Even better if paired with a vintage late 70s big power receiver, and better still if you have two sets of advents, stacked!

    When you replace your turntable mat the thickness of it may change the VTA of your tonearm, changing the rake angle of the cantilever of your stylus. This can negatively affect sound reproduction unless you can adjust the tonearm VTA. Also, in my opinion, I would start by upgrading your stylus to a microline or shibata profile diamond. This makes a HUGE upgrade in sound and decreases distortion, especially the closer you get to the label ( IGD). After upgrading your stylus then I would suggest looking into a good quality outboard preamp- another potential leap towards higher fidelity.

    I'd go for the Sony turntable just because of the preamp gain adjust. Both are essentially the same, except for the design, which the Sony again is way better.

    The 1280DBS is the better speaker if you prefer neutral sound with no over emphasis towards a particular frequency. It's the best budget audiophile speakers for a balanced sound, well worth the price range, especially if you using to connect to a turntable for Vinyl listening...

    I got the Q5 Max the white/grey version which looks a lot like this except the ESC and Enter keys are green rather than red. It is my first custom board as all my other boards are mainstream brands from Razer, Corsair, Asus etc. The solidity and heft of the Q5 Max truly puts it a cut above the rest of my other keyboards. Keychron has the most immaculate packaging and accessories which gave a truly unique unboxing experience prior to even touching and using the keyboard.

  • @Ramesiel

    One area where the mainstream/gaming brands get a huge win is wireless security. Their 2.4 GHz connections use encryption (confirmed by Logitech, Corsair, Razer, SteelSeries, and put to the test in published scientific papers). These Chinese manufacturers, Keychron, Akko, Epomaker, etc. all send their keystrokes in plain text - the 2.4 GHz connections aren't secure.

  • @artyboy1377
    @artyboy137710 күн бұрын

    @Ramesiel Oh I didn't know that. Nothing beats a solid and hefty metallic Keychron but for asthetics the usual jet black offerings from the mainstream brands certainly fits right in with our RGB laden PC cases with fishtank windows, on top of offering a mechanical typing experience.

    If you want my honest feedback I am glad you are finding yourself. I loved everything you put out but I felt like it was very lets throw crap on the wall and see what sticks. I don't mean that poorly either! It could also just be someone making videos for EVERYTHING that interests them and like you said it was an outlet. I didn't know who you were or what you were about. You are a great dude who loves music and exercise and tech and self care...but does that make a good channel? I mean maybe....I would be here for it ! I love your vibe and content. I can tell you are finding your way though and as a fellow human I am legit subscribed to see where this goes. I support you. We are all just hoomans trying to find our voice and something that we can cultivate to leave our mark in the world and change peoples lives. Don't rely on the algorithms and FOLLOW YOUR WHY ALWAYS. Is it money? Follow the algorithms. Is it making yourself happy along with other people? Whatever you land on you have the IT factor. If anything I am STOKED you are moving more towards the things that resonate with me. Can't speak with the other people. Hope this makes sense...I normally watch your vids with coffee but this time it was after a few beers LOL. Ever thought about getting a discord going?

    Great no-nonsense video! And fantastic set of links in the description. Do you have any recommendations on standing desks? And do you have recommendations for maximising space on a smaller desk? Do you think it's possible/recommended to not put your desktop on your desk itself?

  • @nloop
    @nloop27 күн бұрын

    Thanks for the kind words! Yeah! Obviously a monitor arm is the big one for freeing up desk space, and if you have a desktop computer, definitely moving it off your desk is the move. I have mine on a drawer next to my desk, but I've put it on the floor too without issue (just make sure it's not on carpet for heat purposes). As for standing desk, I built my own using a set of legs I bought on amazon and a butcher block I got from IKEA. Let me add it to the description of this video! However, if you want to avoid the hassle, I know some top all-in-one brands include UPLIFT, VIVO and FLEXISPOT for the complete setup.

    Pivot! #friends -- yeah, don't worry so much about the algorithm or your subscriber count. What's important is your happiness. Put out videos you want to put out there and if your current subscribers don't like it, they'll leave (byeeeee!). The fun thing is that more will end up subscribing because they want to see your content because of YOU, not the niche. You lose some, but you win much more in the end. Congrats on your success so far but as you've already realized, it's important to make changes after you've gone through the process so you don't get stuck in "the process" which turns into a job you dread. Go nloop v2!

    Great video man thanks!!! I want your opinion on something. I recently purchased 2 PolkAudio CSM center channel speakers and i decided to connect them as front left and right speakers. I haven't received them yet but have never used center channel speakers before. Have you ever tried to use them that way as oppose to single center channel speaker. Would like to hear your input, thanks!

  • @nloop
    @nloop27 күн бұрын

    I personally have not used a center channel speaker as a F L/R speaker setup, I am not sure what the benefit would be. Personally, I'd stick with going for speakers that are specifically designed for the F L/R setup.

    So. What do you want to be when you grow up? 🤪 j/k of course. If you asked me a year or so ago I would have said I have very little I'm interested in, mainly due to lack of time and motivation. I am not sure what happened this year but I find myself in a completely opposite frame of mind. Life factors can cause you to ebb and flow like this. Timing isn't always right. I almost have too many things I'm interested in now, which is causing me to lose focus on what I want to focus on for my own channel. It's nice to see you coming to that realization and creating new videos about it. I think this video is extremely motivating and I truly hope more people find it because I feel a lot of people will learn from your great advice. As for "niching down" (something you mentioned early on), I think that's horrible advice (as you know) as you are setting yourself up for a grind you don't ever want. You may be into, say, reviewing electric bikes because you find them fascinating and have a few. You want more, so your channel becomes all about them. But then that's all your audience wants from you. If you post a review about your van life, your subscribers will walk. You surely don't want to post reviews of electric bikes for the rest of your life, so don't. I did one such review and I was flooded with requests from manufacturers to do more. I still get them to this day. I refuse all of them. Post content that interests you, and vary it up. Your subscribers will want to follow you because they want to learn and experience new things through the excitement of your mind's eye. I've learned that through experience as well... if you are genuinely excited about the content you're posting, your viewers will see that and engage, share, and watch more. Don't be afraid about the subject matter you are excited to post about, and don't try to cater to any algorithm. nloop is on to something, here.

  • @nloop
    @nloopАй бұрын

    Wow what an incredible and thoughtful comment, thanks so much Chris! I agree with and appreciate everything you said. I get a lot of requests for reviewing stuff that has nothing to do with my channel as it has been, let alone where it’s going. So I am ignoring those in favor of sustainability. I’m gonna talk more about that and a lot of what you mentioned in my next video more in depth. I’m glad this year has offered more direction for your interests as well! Looking forward to seeing more stuff!
