The entire Internet seems to not be clear if the defouler or the O2 simulators go upstream or downstream and the write ups seem to never specify. It would seem the defouler with the palladium would go upstream since it is emulating/imitating a catalytic converter for the downstream sensor to pick up the "cat-like" readings from the defouler Then again, if you put the defouler downstream, won't it kinda do the exact same thing? And you would have to do passenger and drivers side (V8 models)? Can you clear this up for the people of the internet sir.
Just a FYI about corner balancing - this car is pretty unbalanced from the factory and it's hard to corner balance this car well, as it requires different spring rates from side to side (I don't mean front to rear, but left to right). So adjusting the ride height by taking measurements from the ground or center of wheel to the fender should be just enough.
Good video. However, a couple of points. The PCD isn't the outside diameter of the studs, it runs through the centre of the studs. You say both :-) Not sure how having a groove on the mating surface improves grip by reducing the contact area. An explanation would be helpful.
How do you tell if its too deep to buff or sand out? I don't want to end up in the color.
Way to hard. I'm just gonna buy to get it installed. Worth the cost.
Hey, so can you start how you could afford all these parts? No? … ok
I like this video...BUT...1) never clamp a valve stem into a drill chuck without first covering the end of the stem with 2 layers of painters tape- unless the jaws of your drill are plastic, which most are not. Otherwise you'll score the stem just a tad, and open the door to valve guide problems, requiring another rebuild. 2) Second never use abrasives on the underside of the valve head where it mates with the valve seat: no 3M cloths, no sandpapers... because as valves are fit to within 1 or 2/ 10,000ths of an inch, a tolerance easily thrown off 2 to 5/ 10,000ths by scrubbing and sanding. The only abrasives used are fine lapping compounds with a hand lapping tool- if that doesn't do it, to a Machinist you go. All tolerances are measured of course with machinists tools. If you don't follow these rules, the valve underside will not seal to the valve seat and the valve will go bad again quickly. Liquid carbon removal compounds work well, and do not change the shape of the metal. A better choice to be sure.
Do you have a video where you show how you replaced the top control arms?
Blue and white, you can use any of them, right?
Hello i have a k24 engine 2006 in my Honda Elysion , one day I got in the car and tried to start the car , right before it sorted to run it made a metallic noise then turned off , it never started again..... we opened the top of the engine and examined the chain and timing was still fine , fuel system is fine .... help what could the problem be
Man I dunno how you don't have a million subs. Again best instructional videos on KZread PERIOD. Show your support like and subscribe people!
If you have rusty calipers and are rebuilding them, soak them overnight in evapo-rust. That stuff is amazing.
Bro bad advice on the single axle, if you have directional tires you can’t swap sides and that needs to be said. Also 4WD full size spare advice doesn’t work for a lot of cars. The spare is full size but not on an alloy wheel. Unless you mean matching rim spare which for trucks is the exception.
Rubbish car
I gotta tell ya man, as a 25yr mechanic, you have the most detailed instructional videos ive ever seen on youtube. You explain things in the same way i explain things to young apprentices so that they understand it right the first time. Never skipping over anything, and knowing all the small details that need to be pointed out is so key to learning. Well done brother!
I'd like to see how you cleaned the old Honda bond from the engine. The cover would be easy enough, but getting it off the engine looks quite difficult.
I call them a V
So does this take off the electronic speed limiter? once ive installed the tune?
Awesome thanks for the video.
THANKS Toyot
Ok, you show us to turn the crank shaft when needed. My question is this : Do i need to put the cylinders into the starting position ? Does the timing will be affected?
Thanks for the run through. Although, It's nice to encourage folks this is not the best repair to attempt for those with little experience... You can die if you fail a brake job... and so can others... One stupid move is all it takes and there's at least 33 chances with a rebuild. For example, getting a little grease on those brake pads will not end well... Having someone spot you on this job if it's your first time, may allow you to live for your second attempt. :)
8:20 Everything straightforward until here. I still don't see the knock sensors and what is that long metal pipe in the middle??
Video did not help
Nice job bro love my zzz
Well done and well noted for your education, much appreciated
That's crazy twisting wires and electrical tape. Wtf
8 gen paddle shit
Won't changing the offset affect ABS brakes?
Hey man hope everything is well hope we hear from you soon!
I agree 🫡
I just bought OEM Coated Rotors. (it is not Spray paint). the Spray paint is specifically for the Caliper, it should say on the can "Do not apply to Rotors".
The spray paint is specifically for the Caliper, not the Rotors! Rotors should never be spray painted or contaminated with any substance. Also, don't confuse OEM Rotors that are coated with a Specialized Zinc Coating (it is not spray paint). Also, always apply the Manufacture specified amount of Torque to the bolts. Lastly, some Vehicles Specify the use of a specific grade of thread locking compound to the bolts. (it prevents the bolts from creeping out over time, caused by expansion and contraction from hundreds of heat up and cool down cycles.) be safe!
If you do this to your commuter you are a douche bag with micropenis energy, a drooling smooth brain, or a combo of both. This is from your neighbors: FUCK YOU
FIXD
Hey, i didn’t understand what you said about the a lighter flywheel and i did the same that you did, but now im having a misfire even when i put it back on stock ecu. And the car is going into limp mode. What should i do?
Where do you purchase your control arms for $2.00 more than the bushings?
Will this take out a fish smell?
I know the Z7 Torque Mount is on the oil pan not to sure of the Z3
Would yall recommend an aftermarket bov and air intake along with this flashpro for an 11th gen civic
Thank you bro💪🏽💪🏽
Clear video. Thanks for sharing so clearly exactly what you do and use. There are so many opinions about lubricating brake components and what lubricant or anti-seize to use or not use. I live in Texas so can't relate to all the corrosion issues caused by winter road salt and the extreme methods necessary to keep cars operating in your conditions.
This adds extra clearance within the valve guides and kills it
If I get long tube headers for my 370z would u recommend I scuff it n add the ceramic coat and wrap it with the exhaust wrap?
only 30mins wow.... i was thinking like 2 hours hahahaha
this video was very helpful keep up the good work
Paints the rotors which is a no-no…and yet ignores the rusty ass calipers, which is the one thing he should paint, lol…
My cars has been tracked for 5+ years with bolt on billet aluminum spacers with 0 issues lol. Of course you're preaching what people should do with 0 track experience.
Oh hell no hope you plan on using them for paperweights
Bad video - cutting out the difficult part of mounting the brake pedal
