This song is accurate for justification but not sanctification. Believers are called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds and to be conformed into the image of Christ. We are now called to live holy lives. The Bible throughout the New Testament is clear that Christians now have a higher standard than the world, so we are not to stay as we are.

@@GloGold-z3m That’s true but part of the equation. We still have responsibility. Read all of the epistles where Christians get corrected and admonished and are demanded to change and hold to a higher standard. There is a such thing as a lukewarm Christian, and we can quench the Spirit. The Bible is clear on that. Justification is all God. Sanctification is God and us. If it’s all God, then every Christian would be at the same point of maturity. We know that’s just not reality.

It’s taken me a long time to realize that His love is not dependent on my goodness or perfection, and this song is a celebration of the fact that HE is good and we are loved no matter what. There are many great songs about sanctification out there; I wrote this song to focus on God’s love. I’ve heard it said like this: “God loves us where we are, AND He loves us too much to let us stay there.” This song is step one for a child of God: realize we are LOVED. Then it’s a journey of growth and sanctification. Hope you hear my heart on that! Thanks for listening!

I love listening to all of Hannah's songs. They are very uplifting and encouraging. I've felt a lot of pain in my life. I lost a few good friends, I got fussed at a lot, I even had a hernia once but God's not done with me. I'm happy he still loves me As I Am. I didn't have to change myself because of his love. Heavenly Father, whoever feels ashamed and feels he/she needs to change. I pray for your love and grace on them. I pray that you let them know that they don't need to feel alone anymore and you love them As they are. Will you be with them? Dwell within them? Bless everyone who crosses paths with them?
