I find the Westin "Salty" to be one of the best metal lures, as well as the smallest size Savage Gear "Seeker". Beautiful action to them and excellent control at different depths.

I couldn't agree more...the seeker has a fantastic action especially when you pause the retrieve, it flutters downwards truly irresistible to any predatory fish. The 30g is a balanced size, suits most Bass Rods and has the ability to punch through a headwind.

@@Completeangler2 Hi! Have you tried to catch sea bass on wobblers? I bought several yu-zuri poppers (hydro and 3D), I have several replicas, as well as a lot of spinners, but I am interested in wobblers from the point of view of the casting range. Spinners and pilkers have a good casting range, but they are easier to lose on a rocky bottom

@@alexka3644 Hi Alex, a lot of anglers are targeting bass with weighted soft plastic lures rigged with a weedless hook. you may need a 9ft rod to ping this out. over rough shallow ground i use poppers. if its murky i may go with a bright coloured shallow diver. another great method is to free line a peeler crab. check out Henry Gilbey's website

Need your hands further apart and keep your leader knot to one side of the spool and where the line comes off to the other side of the spool. Less chance of leader knot ripping your thumb open and less stress on spool spindle.
