The videos move fast. They are designed for people who know what they are trying to find out about but they just want the information as fast as possible.

My 17 old son was killed in a tragic car accident last year. I have been trying to cope with the loss of my son. I am reviving this channel as an outlet for all of the frustration I felt after my son passed away.

    @@C6nroofing it was an 11.00 class and he was going to break out by a lot. He slammed brakes and I almost got him at the line. He beat me by .007 seconds. His car is a sub 9 second 1/4 mile car that he was trying to win the 11.0 class with.

    Great video with lots of good information 👍🏻 I live in Sweden in Europe. Do I get a much slower verison of the car if I buy one? In Europe we measure 100-200 km/h times. How did your car perform in 100-200 km/h?

    @@Mamba310 I saw 613 HP in my quickest runs but 615 should be possible with a little more optimization in the battery.

    I think i just found a gold mine of information and delivered on a silver plate here. Thank you so much for the excellent reporting!! I'm thinking of upgrading in a year or two after this car comes with front bumper camera and slightly more range. Also thinking of running the exact same wheel setup as you are for efficiency.

    Wait what sized wheels and tires did you go with? I went with 18s on my 21 performance but the staggered setup now has me confused with the new wheel and tire setup I’d run on the 24

    @@youdidntbuildthat47 he might be trying to protect other products like the Model S. If the Model 3 has 615 HP but the Model S LR isn’t much more than that then he might lose Model S LR sales. He is selling every single Model 3 Performance Tesla can make even when he says it only has 510 HP.

    i went fully electric 2 years ago, my moms car is a bmw i3 rex and indrive a 2019 LR model 3 , my sister is looking to trade her ford bronco for a Hyundai ev or a mustang mach e , my next veichle i want this the 2024 model 3 ludacris i will save money to buy this one used 4 or 5 years down the road whenever they go down in price to the low 30's thats the sweet spot for me when it comes to paying for something and receiving something in return , my last high performance vehicle was a 2012 gt500 e85 fully built pushing 800rwhp , it gave me the fun i wanted and the sounds my ears needed but now im a little older and wiser and now i want to go fast in a ev i love all cars im what you call a true car enthusiast

    Great video. I'd love to see your detailed approach applied to a report on the car's handling. I had a 1998 BMW E36 M3 once named by Car and Driver magazine as "The Best-Handling Car at Any Price." My 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance is just as good and I think that aspect of the car deserves more coverage.

    @@THExKINGxKINGx Well for one it's not 30% faster, not even the US-made one. Maybe 5-10%. But the Shanghai one I test drove feels identical to my 2021 M3P in terms of power, it is really bottlenecked by the battery it seems. The handling is super impressive though, it's a major difference with my M3P but I don't do race tracks or anything so it just doesn't matter to me that much. I'd much rather have the luxury, comfort and power of a plaid model S. If you want a nimble car you can throw around, get the new M3P.

    Excellent video, lots of data well presented and tightly edited. Well deserved sub. Side note, I'm glad to see my 2019 MSP is still quicker. It sucks enough already, being underwater on it. Would hate to see it beat by a 3!

    Totally, in fact we love the car and it treats us great. The only issue has been depreciation. And that only happened because new Tesla prices got slashed, otherwise they had been keeping their value well up till then. I think they will continue keeping their value now that Tesla can’t bring down prices much more.

    @@dyeace Dragy literally says 2.71 with rollout subtracted. My point was that Tesla underrates the 0-60 mph just like they underrate the HP of the car. The specs Tesla states are definitely sandbagged.

You confirmed 0-60 no rollout is 2.9. there is zero sandbagging there. Horsepower and other things sure, and I never disagreed with those claims. As a side note, considering the other trims don't subtract rollout, displaying 60 time without it on performance is the most honest and consistent way to advertise it as well

For simplicity, I've copied the text exactly. You'll notice there is no asterisks or other note on the 2.9 claim, nor is there any mention of subtracting the rollout at the bottom, both of which are present on the model s plaid All-new high-performance drive units deliver more than combined 500 horsepower and 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds.     @@cgmartin333 there is nothing left in the battery if you launch at 627 HP Max Discharge value. That is the max power the battery can produce. There won’t be any acceleration upgrades without physically changing the battery.

    I really get tired of people using the word "lie" inappropriately. Musk said Highland wasn't an official designation; he never said it wasn't used in development. And sandbagging horsepower is laudable, as opposed to exaggerating. "Lie" is way too harsh.

    So I got mine 2024 M3P seems the mileage it gives is a joke it’s more like 5 miles to one real mile This is more a measurement of how much battery you have not real Miles I filled up to 80% three times have approx 400 miles on my car ! Do I have a lemon ? And I drive on normal I love insane mode but thought it eats more battery live This is my only complaint is battery drains badly for real Miles love to get you feed back and great job Thanks JT

    @@josephtomasello1859 the stock tires are OK efficiency for a full Performance summer tire but they are nowhere near an ultra efficient AS tire. Sentry mode uses an extraordinary amount of energy. Make sure it is disabled if you want max range. Also make sure cabin overheat is disabled if you need max range.

    Fascinating video The HP maintained at a longer MPH range I found particularly interesting...as an owner of a 2024 Model Y Performance, is this just a function of mostly software allowing it to hold power for longer or is it entirely the newly designed motors?

    Two questions I got my 2024 M3P few weeks ago Those stats are with the 20” wheels And when charged it looses battery so quickly seems 5 Miles to one real mile

    I used my 18” wheels for most of the runs. I used the stock 20” wheels for the 11.0 runs. My efficiency is excellent with the 18” wheels and the ultra efficient Hankook tires.

    Has anyone tried to buy some tiny drag racing brakes for the rear and put some super lightweight 15" drag wheels/tires on it?

    Just removing the seats 💺 would help way more. Traction isn’t a big issue for this car and the stock wheels are actually fairly lightweight.

    Great info man 2.7s to 60 is awesome pretty much as quick as a C8 Z06 trading my 22 M3P for a 24 also and will throw on my 18” tsportlines with Pilot Sport All Season 4’s
