WELCOME TO MY CHANNEL!
I am a serious makeup junkie but recently I've been on a mission to rethink my makeup buying habits and go on a makeup no-buy/low-buy. The past three years I've been trying to use up items I already have and I love doing videos about conscious consumerism! This used to be my bio:
'I have a weakness for drugstore makeup, an addiction to mascara and an inclination towards bold brows.'
Here's to trying to change those first two points!

WHY ISN'T THIS VIRAL?!?! ❤❤❤❤😂😂😊😊
Compared to most of my videos, I would call this viral 😅😅
I was constantly thinking about how I should solve this, it never occurred to me! Thank you so muchh!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love tarte blushes but dont get the reason why they get hard pan so easly my mac do also
It’s so frustrating! Expensive blushes should not have formula issues
Dang ive been scraping the top off any powders that do this😂 this is way less messy
It’s less messy but not as helpful! It only takes off the top layer whereas I find it would be better to remove a couple more layers
My tarte palette from the 2023 holiday season does the same! For some reason touching it with my finger or anything with oils or moisture makes it get hard pan really easy.
It’s super frustrating :/ I understand that hard pan will happen sometimes, but with these products it’s just ridiculous
I think that much hard pan is a sign to let it go
It’s not because it’s old! These tarte blushes get hard pan really easily - the mini versions don’t, though, for whatever reason
@@laralikesmascara dang that really sucks
I like the nyx primer, but it can be a bit tacky, so I like to set it with powder, whatever is left in my brush after doing the under eye concealer to take away the tackiness for non-glittery shadows.
I work in a science lab and can say those two Dior cans do not weigh the same even when they were both full. Our glasswares of the same kind do not even weigh the same. For example, two 50 ml beakers can be off by 5 - 50 grams. You can test this yourself by weighing your Dior foundation against another unused Dior foundation. Most likely you did use up some of the Dior foundation.
I don’t get why people do this . . . Like if you don’t like a product and can’t wait to get rid of it, just get rid of it. It’s not like you’re throwing a bunch of money down the drain. I mean you spent what, like $4 on that NYX blush 5 years ago? Just not for me.
I put on my matte eyeshadows, followed by the nyx glitter glue and finish with the shimmer shades. They stay in place and don't crease. But don't use the glitter glue for matte eyeshadows. The blending sucks.
All of this.
Omg I love these updates so much
I use the nyx glitter primer under my clionadh eyeshadow (and not just under the glitter ones) and it's the only thing that works for my oily eyelids. Does seem random which ones work for different people though!
Powders are my shit in summer, I feel like they set down better and last longer. And with a good setting spray, they melt together immediately!
I love the NYX glitter primer!! I use it with glitters but the reason I like it so much is it prevents fallout more than other primers. Like I can tap my glitter on and it sticks better than a regular primer so that it doesn’t end up all over my cheeks if that makes sense
Some ppl where rhe nyx eye primer on its own or for just shimmers. I'm waiting to take my stopper out but not yet
I have the merit highlighter as well, and it also smells like play dough LOL. Initially, I thought the one I bought was from a bad batch, but then I looked at the reviews on Sephora and I saw some comments about it. But I’m glad yours smells fine! I wonder why the scents vary so much!
love the project pan videos
Yay glad to hear 🤗🤗
You can depot them if you have a little pot. My burts bees lio balm got stuck up yestersay when i was twisting it to see how much was inside and i couldn't squish it down again because it was hot yesterday and so the stick got too soft to push down..😅 so i put it in a tiny plastic sauce container.
Such a good update! I feel you on the concealer, it took me 2.5 years to completely use up my concealer,😂 I’m so glad to have finally finished it, I’m just not into full coverage concealers anymore. Omg, I almost forgot that I still have the nyx glitter primer. Even when I wore eyeshadow more frequently two years ago I didn’t think it was doing that much…
Omg 2.5 years ☠️ that is such a long time to get through a concealer!!
I know hahaha, I used to go through concealers soo much faster but my preference have changed quite a bit.
My nyx glitter primer is like the oldest thing in my collection. I think it was my sisters when i was in middle school and now im in college 😅. Its so embarrassing but welp.
Don’t be embarrassed, I feel like it would take forever to finish that primer because you only need the tiniest amount. Maybe I challenge myself to use my shimmer and glitters this summer as well.
Only because it will be such an asmr video for us panners.... You can always try and see if you then want to use up the remainder of the products
I call them finished. But I think it’s fun to depot, so I empty the product as a fun experiment. Then I toss the excess. I don’t like using lipstick in pressed form.
Let them go and use up other lipsticks in your collection ❤
You can use the blush as eyeshadow to get it over faster.
I only depot lipsticks if I know I’ll use them as cream blush. If it’s bright red or shimmery or something else that doesn’t work great in my cheeks it’s getting thrown out. I hate having to sue a lip brush so that’s just me 🤷♀️
I'd dig out
Only do it if you actually liked the products, otherwise something you do love in your collection will be going off while you try to use up something you don't enjoy.
I would call them finished. You worked so hard on them, reward yourself
Nooooo girl just let em go you did it!!🎉
Just depot the remaining lipsticks in order to recicle the packaging and consider them done. You still have lots of lipsticks waiting for to be used
Let them go
If you’re questioning it then you don’t want to do it.
if you would buy a replacement then depot, but if they aren't leaving a hole in your collection, then let them go!
I agree with this!
I always depot the remainder, I hate wasting it. It always takes ages to use the dregs though! Bright colours are great because they work so well as cream blush.
To me, once i cannot apply them in my lips the regular way, I consider them done and dusted. I KNOW that if i depot them into another pot and have to apply the remaining product with my fingers or brush, I'll never reach for it.
noo!! party about the fact that you finished them
Noooo, just let them go and celebrate! 🎉
If they're close to expiring don't bother. If not you can depot into a little palette, but don't put pressure on yourself to use it up.
Yessss at least so the packaging gets recycle! you can throw whats inside if its so big of a hastle for you,you have done so well already!😊
Thanks such a great point!! Even if I don’t use up the remaining product, it still makes more sense to remove it from the packaging for recycling purposes :)
I don't subscribe to 'hate panning' so unless I love the product I wouldn't depot it. Also, in my country there's no reclying therefore I've got less motivation to depot. As a viewer, those lipsticks are a bit boring, I wouldn't be interested in watching such small progress. Sorry for my full honesty.
Yess.. I always take the remaining product out, to depot or to throw it away if I don't love the product. Either way, it's easy for me to clean up the packaging and send it for recycling.
Thanks, You are doing great 💖💖💖
idk why but i had a visceral reaction to the 26 mascaras i genuinely thought it would be like 3 at most 💀💀😭 that’s how i am with lip stains and eyeshadows though it makes up a bulk of my collection 💀
Settings sprays are something I feel like make a big difference to me. I use a lot of powder as I have an oilier t-zone, and a hydrating setting spray works well for me to help take that powdery look away. For the same reason (oily t-zone) I love my UD All Nighter. I keep a travel size on hand for nights out or days when I really need my makeup to last.
Last year I ordered Rebel witch. Normaly I only read books in Dutch. Because I am unsure about myself if I càn read in English. My English is oké (you know high school - tv English). Rebel witch was my first book in English because I wanted to read it so very bad. And for most of the book it was very pleasant and easy reading for me. Am I in a dark place? No (thank goddes). Am I going to order your new book? Hell yessss! Congrats on your new book Kelly-Ann. I know it will be totally awesome! 💋
Maybe try to use a coarser blush brush, or lightly repress a little bit into another pan so it does not get hard pan and more powder gets picked up.
I have exposed too! It’s verryyy subtle. Takes a few layers to get really good color payoff
Ok this is good to know!! I think I just need to scrape off the top layer every couple of uses bc it gets hard pan so fast lol
U look like Alexandra Harbushka. She's on KZread
I just looked her up and I do not see it at all 🤣🤣 but that’s how I always feel when people tell me I look like someone!
I had a lip butter and it was one of the first things I panned a few years ago
They’re so nice and creamy!
@@laralikesmascara yes totally, one of the things I would buy again if they ever brought them back.
Do you think it’s okay or bad to use old lipstick or any makeup from expiration date perspective? I actually want to use my old ones including revlon lip butters! But not sure if it’s okay
Well done!! I’m very close to finish my oldest Avon lipsticks (I bought them around 6-ish ago), I’m wearing them mostly as my chapsticks at home as those lippies are pretty creamy
Thank you!! Fingers crossed you get them out soon 🤞
I love a lipstick based project, or blush based ones-- everyone's always working on eyeshadow, which is fine, or highlighters, which is futile 😆. It's inspiring to see lip products getting moved out. I have that same Nars pencil from the gift-- it just keeps going.
