I remember this, totally and utterly 'Done up like a dinner', tge Austrian's were a disgrace and the so-called authorities who investigated this sort of play-acting should have seen all the dodgy goings on and just given Celtic a fine. Worse things have happened to British sides abroad. Just another excuse for UEFA to ban British teams whilst ignoring other incidents outside Britain.

This Celtic were capable of winning a European trophy that rapid debacle robbed us of 2 seasons as that closed door athetico game after we got a good draw there was a sickened!! Disgraceful tho we had a cowardly board alright! Davie provan was having a great start to season here after he spent the close season playing in Australia in those days they played in there winter different now as lived there for years on and off in Sydney. Sadly Davie carreer was cut short only 2 months later after a game at Ibrox he thought he got granular fever tho was " post virtual fatigue syndrome" which in those days wasn't much understanding or belief in he tried a comeback in a win against Motherwell in a 3-1 win that January of 86 later that season, was at the game as went to all ,but he career sadly was over. This the season we win the league at love street on that amazing day after we had to win all our last eight games! Great days!. Remember this game like yesterday big Jock had passed away on the 10th and still remember the sadness amongst friends I was a teenager then, big man was a colossas figure and rightly so for what he achieved

This when they slashed out capacity for euro games went yo both ties anazinh over lisbon we went to algarve on Thursday before the game and were in the rainbow bar when Brian Oneil scored the winner at snake mountain ha ha We had on BBC Radio witkd service!! That oub became the Cektic fand place as fandcant arrivibg every day and good Tim owed it and hired 6 busrs for us to all head up to Lisbon mental but ehat a first trip for me and my wee bhro met dome great guys amazing Celtic memories fans like no other! Fact! We have the biggest support in the World real fans i mean not tourists we be there even if we had agame on the moon! Seen it all over as i lived in Australia on and off since 2008 nothing come close we are the club and they are us!!

I remember it well was there with my pals there must have been about 33 thousand in love street that night and thousands locked out Johnny Doyle was superb and how cool was wee Lennox’s penalty great memories and we won the cup at Hampden with George Mc cluskey scoring the assist 😂from Danny Mc grain 🇮🇪☘️🏴🍀🍀🍀
