There was quite a bit of crowd trouble during the game, briefly alluded to in the commentary. We see little of the stand behind the goal on the left side of the screen, but there is a big space between the 2 sets of fans, well at the start of the game that space was a lot bigger, Celtic fans broke into it during the first half. The police then strengthened the lines.

It was a one-off tie, either quarter or semi of League Cup. It was an Old Firm final, won 3-2 by Rangers aet.

Tavy@ the football in those days was faster and better than any football today and thats before the pass back rule came into it. Imagine all that lot today with that pass back rule? You wouldnt go to the toillete incase you missesd 2 minutes of great football by 26 scottish players!!!!!!!

Official Attendance was just over 41,000 My Cousin was at that game,crowd more like 51,000!

How on earth could that be a penalty?

usual diving cheating tactics by Celtic and the Old Firm, what is known in the trade as a "Glasgow pen"....ie never a pen but awarded to keep the great unwashed happy
