I played all the dead space games I like em obviously so basically The markers alien technology basically been around in humanity for 500 years pretty much led in dead space 3 to basically wiped out humanity from the brethren moons that has been around for thousands or millions of years absorbing life all over the universe it’s crazy how long it’s been going on before the actual story tho humanity in the 22nd century wanted energy and used it for over population for greater use but humanity didn’t know the markers was basically controlling and using people to make a disaster that would destroy humanity and everything else in the known universe

What I love about the idea of silent hill is that in silent hill 2 it’s referenced that the land in which silent hill sits upon used to be recognized by the natives as sacred, and that the cult is just a small outcome that manifests from this fact. People think it’s a cults doing that surrounds silent hill’s strangeness but that furthest from the truth. Something is seriously F’d up with the land in that area that the cult merely settled into. Whatever’s going on in the quiet resort town that sits quietly beside Toluca Lake is far older and stranger than a cult. This simple narrative device allows for an endless string of both related and seemingly unrelated stories that are the bizarre outcomes of this inexplicable fact. I personally am not of fan of the cult stories besides the events of 1 & 3. The half baked attempt to solidify the cult as the cause of the strangeness surrounding Silent Hill only displays the lack of imagination of the develop team. Silent Hill 2 feels disconnected to the rest of the series because it doesn’t focus on the cult aspect. It subtly yet as a matter of factly deals with the soured earth that is silent hill. If Konami wants to pull this series out from underwater it needs to treat silent hill like the twilight zone instead of this cult mega story. Treat each story independently where the only ties between them is these strange events are occurring because it’s silent hill. The endless high strangeness tales you could spin from focusing less on the cult and more on the supernatural aspect of the grounds is the universe I want to explore.

Does anyone think it’s weird that TF2, Portal, and Half Life (both 1, 2, both episodes, and spinoffs) tie together in different ways? Like Engineer has a voice line saying “I’ve seen better run over by a Combine”, HOW DOES HE KNOW ABOUT THE COMBINE?!
