There is something romantic about cruising over the land in our beautiful country. I do it as often as possible, while ogling at the surrounding landscapes and meeting people from all walks of life. I do have an underlying objective-an obsessive nature if you will. My eyes are always peeled for old Toyota Land Cruisers on behalf of Barnyard Cruiser customers! We love our cruisers! If I find one still rugged and able bodied to cruise the land, I bring it home and dress it up for resale. Aged and resting idle in a forgotten backyard or barn, I give it a second life as an organ transplant truck. To provide scavenged parts that will eventually rehabilitate one of our favorite old timers and keep its heart beating for years to come.

Great video, but if I were the customer watching this, I'd wonder why there wasn't a soft towel or something under the grill when laying face down on a rusty tailgate while working on it.
Rare to see a jeep towing a cruiser, Land NOT PT cruiser that is
Amazing. Just amazzazing
I wonder how hard it would be to do the 2fe in my 60, obviously I'd need a 62 tank and computer and all that, but injection would be nice, love the video's man keep em coming
It’s not hard. 62 Wiring harness, fuel pump. And a few accessories changes and it Will all work in the 60
Is that crowbar?!! Aw man!! The journey continues :)
Yup the one and only. Just keeping the party going ha
Going to run my 3FE until it dies then resurrect ole “Grace” with an LS. 5 speed coming for sure!
2FE! I have being thinking about this engine so much. I have a nice running 2F so no hurries but one day if I get to find a good top end 3FE I learned a lot from your videos! thanks
@@Toca9990 yup that’s the plan. I have a good bottom end 2f and now the 3fe top. Just makes sense to do. Just didn’t want to split 2 good engines to do it originally
This has a lot of great info for pulling a motor.
Need a 12ht in it
Youre awsome dude, the first five seconds and i already learned like 3 things about my 3fe
I appreciate the kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I still need those parts brotha
Not sure which ones you need but let me know
Great work and content man, love the enthusiasm. I hope to one day need to look back on this video for reference. Cheers!
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Have to be excited about working on stuff you enjoy!! There’s no other way!
That por15 paint is going to kill the frames on those
Great video. Very informative and intertaining. That music at the end was a bit annoying because I couldn't hear the motor. Otherwise, I liked the content.
After watching a lot of your vids I was honestly surprised to see no rust prevention activities while the roof lining was out since it is a major problem with them
I have acquired 85 FJ60, work completed on engine and suspension,, except. Drivers front tie rod,, no one can match my original defective one, threads are .200 thousands larger than replacements,,, I'm 66 yrs old and loosing patience trying to locate this , any suggestions????
Yeah buy 888 tie rod kit. They have all the ones you need. Google search that.
Awesome! I have an'89 FJ62 thats been sitting for a few years and you have inspired me to get to work on it.
👍
Keep it
Love it
I’ve always loved old Landcruisers and I really need to find me one of those! Nice videos, deserves way more subscribers! Greetings from The Netherlands
Good morning Sir. I need a Dervice Manual Repair book for a Toyota fj40-1961 LH drive, please. Do you have one for SELL ?? Thank You. Great Videos.
Can you do a video covering the adapters you used. nice video.
Very helpful! Couple questions...#1 is replacing a 62 dash roughly the same process? #2 Do I need to attach the replacement in a certain order to reduce any pressure that could cause future cracks? #3 Should I place the dash replacement in the sun or warmer environment to allow for pliability?
62 is basically the same just a different bezel. And different location of screws. Not sure of a way to install to prevent future cracking. The suns going to hit it regardless. A little heat might not be a terrible idea. Just take your time.
Hi, Where did you buy the HEADLINER??
Cruiser corp
Great video. Fun to watch.
Exelente restauración 👍🏼exelente carro 👏👏🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
Hey so I’ve seen you desmog a few 2Fs just wondering if you’re recurving the dizzy off camera or if that’s not always necessary? I would like to desmog my cruiser but not if I have to ship my dizzy off for a few weeks to be recurved. If anyone else has the answer that’d be great.
The truck will have a hiccup under power band if you don’t. Or go buy a hei distributor one that’s already been redone. This truck got a hei after the fact
Hey man, you would make good money offering complete wiring harnesses for 60/62, I know i’m not the only one who had a pain in the butt trying to workout all the old cooked cables in my LC. By having all that experience, you can get it sorted out and get someone to make them for you just to distribute. TLC4x4 posted about doing something similar but for LS conversions
Still cant get over the vent windows. Awesome video, again, pleasure meeting last week...or was that this week. Whichever. THANKS BRO
Great video!
Great video Jonas! Enjoyed it as always!
You're my favorite TLC builder on here. I can actually do this stuff myself but I am not tackling an 80 series chassis under a 60 series body. And I am not spending $300k to have some boutique fabrication shop do it either. Keep going, bro!
appreciate the kind words. totally agree. Stay tuned got some cool builds coming to the channel.
When and if my Tundra fails, dropping a Toyota 5.7L would be interesting
do it!
@@mizeadventure9438 I cannot imagine the insanity
I know a guy who dropped the 4.7 (2UZ-FE) into a 62 and raced it, turned out a pretty amazing car
Thanks for this
Great work k
Please، you can make a video. cancel Land Cruiser 1985 Let's talk about the pieces. I need video Because live in north Iraq I have car 🙏
damn. this is so exciting! So cool man!! Cannot wait to see what this series brings! Thanks Jonnas!
Appreciate it! can't wait to bring the story to everyone as well. stay tuned
I am assuming that you broke in the camshaft....... Also those flex fans don't always cool that great. think of going with a clutch style fan with a shroud for best cooling. I would have to go back to some earlier videos to see if you talked about what bellhousing to trans adaptor and clutch you are running. Can't wait to see more of this build. Have a great week. Tom in ND.
It's a Roller Cam. The Fan seems to be working just fine. But appreciate the headsup. I'll be going throught he Trans stuff in the next video. It's a Ranger Overdrive twin stick set up.
Oh Boy. it's happening:)
I love how you just take the adventure where it leads. Starting to go through all of your videos chronologically, enjoying this. A lot. I miss my week in Boston, great city.
Nice car good job
NEED PARTS FOR MY 1983😊
Welcome to reach out all my contact info is in the bio.
Inspiring and great videos! Love these cruisers
See that thing to your left? It's called a seat belt or safety belt. 🙄
What? 1000 miles or 1600km ROAD trip? Your title sounds like it's supposed to be an achievement to impress people. Which is silly, because, mechanically and by the design, these land cruisers are among the most reliable cars ever built in the entire history or car making. All they need is basic maintenance and timely replacements of worn-out parts, like any other car does. However these classic land cruisers can take so much more abuse and can keep going under bad or missing maintenance for a long while before giving up. If you get one in good condition and well-cared, there is no question it can go distance and return back safely. And If you get one that's been all trashed and squeezed out, well then it's not about the car model or "antiquity", you can ruin any car quickly and turn it into trash like that.
Hi im from Guyana and i have a fj62
