As a french, I like Kolbe very much since his Toulouse days, but sorry, i don't really like when people are lying for a romantized tv storytelling. Kolbe certainly analyzed Ramos kick, but he also objectively had his foot on the line and anticipated Ramos move by a second. This allowed him to make this charge down. I thought the same after the original "Chasing the Sun" from 2019 but the opposition did not get the better of us. Our coaching team is one step ahead all the time.
Correct. The pace of evolution of the sport is too rapid. Rassie knew 2019’s tricks would not work in 2023, and so it proved. So he already knows that to win in 2027 will take further evolution. As such, I think he’s been happy to reveal so much because he knows in four years’ time those tactics will be obsolete - or wouldn’t work for other teams necessarily.

This opens the door for more surprises, nothing changed from Chasing the Sun 2019 yet with all the secrets and tactics given away we still did Chasing the Sun 2. Because we Won!!!
The thing is though, it's really not. Everything is available to every team - it's just whether they choose to use the information...and how they execute it. One thing stands out for me over the two seasons of Chasing The sun...and effectively the two World Cup wins for the Springboks... Premium preparation prevents poor performance, no matter how the playing field lays..... World Rugby doing their best to pull the rug from under South Africa's feet with the new 'rule changes'... it's going to need the same level of preparation to win the next one. Can't wait!
