This was such a helpful video, both the explanations and the camera angles! Would you recommend a beginner learns the modern method or the traditional method first? Can the modern method be used for items such as wallets/cardholders/purses/bags/belts/etc?

Very good video! One thing though, what is the difference between the diamond chisel and the stitch marker? When and why would you use which one? Thanks!

First time I see this video and I really like it. Thank you for explaining very clear and easy. I have a question, if the thread I bought for leather it’s bee wax, do I still have to pass the thread again on bee wax? I really hope you can see my comment and question. Thank you again ❤

I’ve done a lot of your projects and as I watch this one, it brought to my question I’ve had when doing stitching. When you backstitch at the end of a stitching line, do you cast or just backstitch and lay the thread down side-by-side? Hope I made sense here.

Looking for a wallet I can make with 1oz pigskin. Something slim. Does this pattern work for that? Or is it made for more substantial leather?

Outstading tutorial! I was so slow at stitching and hurting my hands when going through 4 pieces of leather for a binding around a bag. Now I am way faster and it doesn't hurt my fingers at all! I am in love with leatherworking now! Thank-you for such clear and very well videographed lessons!!!

Hope this isn't silly, but all the leather I buy & I have tried a few seems to be soft. Every tutorial I watch the leather seems to be harder than a plastic Frisbee.....where's the fuzziness & is there a secret leather preparation that 'shall not be spoken' of?
