Thank you for these new ideas!!
You are welcome :)
Loved your video. I have been doing glass, various sorts, for quite a few years but learned a lot from it. I have a few questions. Where did you get your etching stickers. I am having trouble finding any like it. I admired your oval dichroic cut out. When I try to shape a dichroic piece the edges often get messed up, lose the dichroic, whether I grind them dichroic up or (worse) down (as the grinder surface scratches them).
I was wondering what is your time for fire polish?
Hi. thanks for your comment. I have added my schedules to the description section. :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI I was actually wondering for the MWK, since that is what you were using in this video. I am assuming it is less than tack fuse, but wondering what time to start with? I have 800W
@@BJEXUM Hi. Its too difficult to say because it depends on microwave wattage, type of mwk. Generally I dont firepolish in mwk. Also I dont full fuse in mwk unless it is something made from frit or small pieces of glass, again for the same reason. However, I know some people use 30% power fuse for a few minutes, then increase to 50% etc but its something you have to play around with. To try to avoid breakages. Hope that helps :)
Thank you for all your lovely tidbits of info. I’m going to save every bit of my minuscule shavings of glass from now on. ❤
Thank you Elizabeth :)
Thank you, only just found you and subscribed I can’t wait to try a microwave kiln and experimenting 🥰🥰
Thank you Marion :)

Thanks

Es un placer unirme a tu canal . Gracias miles de gracias.

Hi, where did you get your stickers? Do I google etching stickers?
Hi Kat. I got them from AAE Glass but it looks like AAE glass dont have them anymore. I found these which you might find useful www.livemoor.co.uk/products/armour-etch-over-n-over-re-usable-etching-stencils-various-types?variant=32180099874904 Hope it helps:)
Love your knowledge and your pieces are beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Annette. Much appreciated :)
Thanks for interesting and informative video. You mentioned using stainless steel cookie cutter won t that cause sparks in microwave. Thanks
Hi Cath. Thanks for your comment. Because the metal is encased in the mwk it is safe. The only reason you cant put metal in a microwave oven normally is because the microwaves bounce off the metal back into the microwave oven itself which is dangerous. In a mwk the mwk absorbs the microwaves to create the heat, they do not pass through the mwk, so do not reach the metal. Hope this helps :)
This is SO cool!! I've never seen anything like it before. TYFS
You are welcome. Thank you for your kind comment :)
Your creations are true pieces of strikingly beautiful 🖼️ artwork!
Thank you so much for your kind comment. Much appreciated :)
Does anyone know if you can use a microwave kiln to do copper enamelling?
This is gorgeous!
These may break or crack due to compatibility issues with the glass. While they are pretty, you might be better off softening the edges in the kiln, than using epoxy resin to hold the pieces together. It's far safer unless you know for certain that the glass is compatible. You should never sell glass that is from incompatible glasses.
Hi. Thanks for you comments. Within each individual piece the glass is compatible. I am not sure if you watched all the video but I have not glued them with epoxy, they are all fused. I only use glue for the bails.
Thank you for this really good informative video. I am just leaning about the glass & looking forward to starting to make things..
Thank you Victoria for taking the time to comment. It is much appreciated :)
You make it look so easy! Just beautiful work.
Thank you for your kind comment :)
Thank you for explaining the process step by step. I appreciate it!
Glad it was helpful!

Beautiful. Can you tell me I can dichroic glass chards. Thank you
Hi. I am sorry but I don't understand your question.
@@ArtsandCraftsTI I am sorry, I should have done spell check. My question is where can I buy dichroic glass chards that are needed for a project. Thank you.
@@gustavotobon7042 you can search dichroic flakes to find suppliers near to you. I bought mine here warm-glass.co.uk/dichroic-flakes-on-clear-medium-p-3724.html . Hope that helps :)
Where did you get that scooper with the tweezers?
Hi. I cant remember but if you search beadalon tweezers with shovel you should find a supplier near to you. :)
hi i love your videos, i was wondering how you can put copper, metal etc in the jewellery as its going in the microwave, does the kiln make it ok, many thanks for an answer chaela x
Hi. Thanks for your kind comments. You can put metal inside a microwave kiln and then put in the microwave. The microwave kiln absorbs the microwaves which creates the heat. It does not allow the microwaves to touch the metal in the microwave kiln. However be careful using moulds in a mwk because they can break :)
I need these! Thanks for the video! Where can I get and buy and get the molds?? I from Spain. Cool design! Regards from Costa Blanca 🌺🌅🌺
Hi. Thank you for your kind comments. I cant remember where I got mine from but it is the same as this one www.creativeglassguild.co.uk/prod/hearts-stars-mould. Hope this helps :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI 🥳 Thanks a lot!! 🌺
@@ArtsandCraftsTI hi, do you think these moulds (size permitting) can be used in a MWK please 🥰🥰
@@marionemberson Hi I would not recommend it, they can break :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI thanks so much for your reply 🥰🥰

Hola. Thank you again for your kind comments. www.warm-glass.co.uk has everything you need and their shipping costs are very good to Spain. Also www.peperios.es/ in Spain but they are a little more expensive. :)

Hi Ruth. They are self adhesive :)
Absolutely gorgeous
Thank you Karen for your kind comment :)
Can you please share a link where I can purchase the etching stickers😊
Hi Karen. It looks like AAE glass dont have them anymore. I found these which you might find useful www.livemoor.co.uk/products/armour-etch-over-n-over-re-usable-etching-stencils-various-types?variant=32180099874904 Hope it helps:)
I can't tell you how many pieces I tossed. away because they came out weird. DECALS ! who would of Thunk ?
Thank you for your kind comments.
I thought you were NOT supposed to use metal in a microwave?
Hi Therese. :)

Love it❤
thank you very much Lyndon :)
Hi. I have have been successfully making hearts using your video techniques and this mold. I found that I needed to hold at 1480 F for 30 minutes to fully melt the glass. Hah, I thought that I was being smart by cutting the mold in half to use only the hearts in the mold. The result was my glass was fried and stuck to the mold. Do you know anything about what happens when the glass is full fused too long ?
Hi 120lana. I too have a mold I cut in half. The reason your glass stuck was probably because you did not have enough kiln wash on it. You are correct with your firing schedule. The schedule I have in my description is just for a fire polish not full fuse. Hope this helps :)
😊really like your video, can you tell me were you buy the kin
Thank you for your kind comments. I bought it a long time ago and I think it was from Warm Glass in the UK because I live in Europe. :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI thank you 😊, l live USA
Love this but finding etching stickers seems to be nonexistent. It's a struggle
Hi Karen. Yes, it looks like AAE glass dont have them anymore. I found these which you might find useful www.livemoor.co.uk/products/armour-etch-over-n-over-re-usable-etching-stencils-various-types?variant=32180099874904 Hope it helps:)
Love your videos! Thank you for all you do! Where do you purchase your bails? Lovely. Love hearing your budgees too!
Thank you Linda for your kind comments. Mainly I get them from Aliexpress online. but if you look at video 11 starting point 2.00 minutes there is a lot of information on bails and also how to make them. Hope this helps :)
They turned out great! Thank you for sharing. Do you fire polish in the mold?
Hi Sherri. Thank you for your kind comment. I dont fire polish in the mold :)
Please share where you got the decals. I love them all
Hi Karen. Thank you for your comment. Warm Glass in the UK or AAE Glass in the USA. Also the white decals came from Captive Decals. All online. Hope this helps :)
Love, love, love each of these. Wowsa!💐🌺⚘️
Thank you Chris for your kind comment :)
Hello, thank you for making these videos, they really help me. I was wondering, how many watts is your microwave?
Hi. Thank you for your comment. Its 800 watts :)
@@ArtsandCraftsTI Thank you. I really love the look of these fused glass beads. I was hoping we had the same wattage so I had a better idea of the time I needed to use in my own microwave kiln but I use a 1,000 watt. Any suggestion as to how much time I should try first?
@@OleLittleMe If you have the smaller mwk then start at 4 mins. Then its a bit of trial and error because of the different variables eg microwave wattage, kiln size, how cold the kiln is (eg if its the first fuse of the day then its really cold). Good luck :)
the pad with the glue is a special glue for glass
Hi hallo. The pad is actually used for card making and crafts in general so does not contain a special glue. :)
Can you tell the size on the pendants in the mold to help me find the same size pendant?
Hi. The hole is 5cm x 3cm and this is a link to the same as mine. I cut mine in half because originally I only had a small kiln. www.slumpys.com/Sales/4-piece-Oval-Cube-Tray-Fusing-Mold Hope it helps :)
