PTGRail exists to create high quality route learning cab rides and documentary style videos in the Railworks/Train Simulator series. One key feature of 'route learning' videos is that all the routes are driven from memory without the use of the HUD. This no HUD policy in the videos makes for a much more realistic experience whether driving or watching journeys in Train Simulator. These videos exist to try and help others learn to drive without using the HUD.

We are never gonna get well above 125mph on wcml in real life.
Still relevant, and much better than Matt's tutorial. Thank you for this. Bookmarked for when I need a refresher.
before the edinburgh trams were built alongside the line
21:01 what is that sign?
What is this German obsession with needlessly overcomplicating everything ?!?
Class 319 from ap is separate not an enhancement
in real life the speed limit signs on the lirr have black numerals on a yellow diamond background. there are also 'w' posts for grade crossings. in the US the horn is to be sounded as --.-
i wish we had theatre route indicators here in america
what is that warning you keep on getting where the red bar lights up on the speedometer screen
Hillside facility isn't on the map as it's only for employees. Same with Boland's Landing between Jamaica and East New York
i noticed that signal you claimed to spad had a tpws grid; did you get a penalty brake?
Thank you for posting. Buying this addon. Love the Japanese routes.

how far apart are the tvm pennants supposed to be?
it seems so counterintuitive that you move the handle forwards for braking and backwards for power
at the crossing before kents bank, i believe the st. george cross sign means there's a level crossing at a reduced speed in the distance and the st andrew cross (saltire) closer up
26:40 is that a calling-on semaphore?
Semaphores! Didn't realize they were AWS equipped
Wait, so when the speed limit sign looks like a fraction, the lower speed is for locomotives? I thought it was just freight trains
I started my railway career at Surbiton .. BTW wrong headcode It's 30 not 10
I love Lincolnshire because I go on holiday up to Woodhall Spa, and my cat is named Lincoln
Do you have a TVM tutorial? Interesting how the sunflower is on the whole time
How come the yellow signals werent flashing before crossing over to the bay platform? Isnt that what happens when its a diverging route. You also didnt point out how the theatre sign said '0' or the feather being lit at Strood. Otherwise we'd have ended up on the medway valley line
Hopefully we can get a French signal tutorial soon :)
Hello, great video, thank you for adding the description through the screen recording as to exactly what’s what for your visually impaired viewers, is it possible for you to do London Waterloo to Weymouth, either the one stopping at Woking, Winchester, Southampton Airport Parkway EC or if not that one, the one stopping at Clapton Junction, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton Airport Parkway ATC? I’d also be interested to see if the 444 divides at Bournemouth like it doesn’t real life on the game.
Travelled this route a few times in the late 50's, always exciting not just the fact it was electrified resulting in good acceleration but the scenery, particularly the Manchester side with the reservoirs. I think the tunnel was lit the entire length on the sidewall and it took three minutes to pass through which equates to a speed of 60 mph. The coaching stock was usually pre BR mk 1, not particularly clean and never crowded.
These routes are nice and complete, unlike TSW where they are only partially done routes.
Hi
At 6:25 the kilometer distance marker versus the hectometer marker. In the metric system is 1 kilometer 1000 meters, kilo means 1 thousand. Hecto means 1 hundred so 1 hectometer is 100 meters. The distance marker shows the number 25 with a 4 below, meaning 25 kilometer plus 4 hectometer, meaning that distance from the given location is 25 thousand plus 4 hundred meter or 25.4 kilometer, being the same as 254 hectometer. So the distant marker is a combined kilometer and hectometer marker, official called a hectometer sign placed every 2 hectometer (200 meters) along the route. A hectometer sign at a distance of 10 kilometer exact from a given location would show the number 10 with the number 0 below, this to avoid confusion with the 10 speed limit marker of 100 km/h. See by example at 6:46 the sign with the numbers 69 and 0, placed on the electricity pylons, not being the speed limit signs of 690 km/h but the 690 hectometer post at the distance of exact 69 kilometer from a given location.
This the best and my favourite video you have produce PGT rail could you plz do west coast main line 390

At the real Hartlepool Station, on the wall on the right as you approach, you can see a patch in the brickwork where it was repaired after an encounter with a German naval shell in the First World War.
Won’t be long before BREL trains running on national rail lines become obsolete.
Hey when’s the next one mind asking
Is this scenario available?
Superb video as normal, thanks very much. It's a wonderful piece of kit. Probably very unauthentic but I had a nice run up the Welsh Marches route in it the other day, flattened Llanfihangel bank.👍

Hi there, I really enjoyed this video. Does the London Waterloo extention to the Portsmouth Direct Line also come with rolling stock (I.E Class 455, 444, 377 ect)?
PTGRail, 205 009 has been preserved at the Eden Valley Railway
I've only got the Avanti West Coast voyager that's included with West Coast Mainline South. What other TS classic DLCs included this train
Wish I could get hold of this uniquely time set route, sadly it seems that Creative Rail has somewhat gone under, as the link provided no longer functions correctly.
Succinctly enough and super clear as well! Thank you very much for this perfect explanation!
