Yet another pointless and brainless 'ALL TIME' piece of utter nonsense. Giving Jack Hobbs an 'honourable mention' is the mark of a clueless chump.
Ben Stokes not even mentioned. As good or better than half of these listed.
Anyone declaring their personal 'best' are of ALL TIME (in any sphere of endeavour) gets immediately switched off by me. These idiotic ALL TIME lists never go back beyond the reviewers period of life or experience.

Right I picked 10 allrounders then looked at their first class (not test) records to compare. I broke them down into 5 categories. Batting average Number of Centuries Bowling average Number of wickets Catches I then gave the highest in each category a 10 and lowest a 1. Once done I added up their scores and the final list came out as indicated. It's hard to argue with the list. Placings can be debated but all the main players are listed. Ben Stokes will surely slot in there somewhere once his career is done. Superb batter, decent bowler, fantastic fielder and a truly inspirational leader and ultimate team man. Ben Stokes has grown as England captain and will be sure of a place amongst the greatest all rounders once his time is done.

I am a westindian but I don't agree with Vivian Richard in the top ten , they are more, better than than ,no shree Lankan bat men ? what happened to sangakara ,India kapil dev, Kumble dravid Zahir Abass from Pakistan masjid Khan, , Vivian Richard is good bats man but nor in the top ten
Viv Richards is most definitely one of the greatest, the bloke could walk out in any situation and put the likes of Lillee, Dev or Khan over the fence without hesitation. His stats are outstanding, especially in an era with smaller bats and massive boundaries
If Lara had a strong batting line up around him like Richards, Ten ,Chappell ,Sobers, Kallis Ponting...just review the batting averages of his colleagues and compare them with the colleagues of the aforementioned

Viv Richard's could bat no time in his life as good as Graham Gooch of England, so those agreements about Viv Richard's is all nonsense. Gooch is a more reliable batsman than Viv Richard's, he is always out scoring Viv Richard's. Gooch who scored 333 and 123 against india in 1988,at Lords in a test match. Holding the highest scores by any batsmen in test cricket, scoring 456 runs into a test match at Lords. Gooch makes several centuries off the great wi 4 fast bowlers and, that is a very hard task to do. So you haveto rates him far above Viv Richard's, let me asked the same question ⁉. Do you think if Viv Richard's was facing the wi 4 fast bowlers, do you strongly believe he could have lost that long or. Scoring so much centuries as Graham Gooch, or even Allan Border. I watched all of them batting for decades, and Gooch and Allan Border was ahead of Viv Richard's in terms of batting against fast bowlers.

So tell me now with all honesty, do you tell me. If you strongly believe that Viv Richard's is a great odi player, better than Gayle or Lara,also Desmond Haynes. Gayle have the highest runs in odi for the wi team 10,480 with 25 centuries, with a top scored of 215 followed by Lara with 10,430 also 19 centuries, Desmond Haynes with 8,340 with 17 centuries, then chandelier with 8,120 and 11 centuries. So you tell me how Viv Richard's could played above any of those batsmen, I would like you tell me. If you looked at what some of those bloggers is doing, they are only looking likes from people but. Deep down in their hearts, they will see that Viv Richard's is not the category of Gayle and, Lara also Chanderpaul. That Kholi should over take Tendulkar with 18,000 runs,which he behind by almost 6,000 runs.You can only over take a person by the leading runs scorer,until that day comes. You are still trailing the person, Gayle should be ahead of Amla, Sharma, even Lara with over 10,450 runs compares to Amla and Sharma with 9,000 runs. You cannot change numbers, will remains until the end of times. If you looked at Gayle 3 formats overall, he has scored more runs than all of them on the list away from Tendulkar. I would not include Bradman as he played cricket in a different era. In the 1930’s & 1940’s it was not uncommon, certainly in the U.K., to see men in their 40’s and even 50’s playing County Cricket. Consequently the fielding was not up to today’s standards and the bowling was not as fast. Spinners, I suppose, were just as good then as now but didn’t have the quality of fielders to support them. However, if you go on averages then there is no-one who comes close to Bradman.
Very good point, it’s always difficult comparing different eras which is why I stress that this list is subjective
