Weird History

Weird History

Welcome to the chronicles of history that was never covered in high school. This is for the extreme, the unexpected, the untold and the flat-out weird parts of history. Because as weird as people seem today, we don't hold a candle to history.

In the reign of James I of England, yellow ruffs were fashionable. Then the inventor of the trend, Ann Turner, was hanged in her yellow ruff. The trend fell out of favour after that.

Answer, the government. President Eisenhower warned us in his outgoing speech about the government and military industrial complex on their oversight. Always watch the government hold their feet to the fire.

From my perspective, Marvin Gaye wasn't all there. Engaging in such malicious acts while still living with your parents, especially with your mother present? That's just bizarre behavior.

Read about that daring escape in a magazine. Possibly Reader's Digest. I was proud of those families. The Stasi was mean to the bone. Glad that it worked. 😊😊

In the movie they did NOT portray the Dolittle raid as a turning point …they actually said in the movie that the attack would be nothing but a pin prick but would go right through their hearts…

Ronald Wayne 10% owner of Apple in 1976, sells his share of Apple for somewhere around $1,000.00, maybe not the smartest decision. He now lives in a mobile home on Savoy Ave. in Pahrump NV. Says he never regretted his decision. I know about that.

Jesus said “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven”. I think Jesus was an intelligent, caring man who knew that those who desire excessive wealth are not nice people.

I think it’s safe to say, over the last five decades, Dee Snyder has demonstrated his intelligence over and over and over again. I remember these hearings and thought how farcical it was that these members of Congress would underestimate the intelligence of these performers. Besides Dee’s memorable testimony, I remember Chuck D from Public Enemy set the record straight too. You would think that, if these congress people had done a little bit of research, actually listened to Public Enemy’s politically conscious lyrics, they would realize that they were dealing with people who were highly intelligent

I know more about the topic of the town AND the show than you do. I grew up out here, and I've hiked Moriah numerous times. Zone 5a for gardening purposes... the original "lawless" town. Rough history... especially the house I am currently in.
