    That was absolutely absurd,I was so sure that trailer was going to disappear,I saw at one point earlier in the video,the whole back end moved about 2ft,I was just waiting for it,was there anything inside it?🤔

    This wasnt a tornado as that would have been so much worse as those are even more powerful then a Derecho ever could be too. U guys were pros just standing thier and waiting it out. And not panicking neither :) Good job on the house u built too as it withstood this monster storm :)

    I wonder if not having doors, and the angle of the trailer and windows breaking helped that garage from worse damage! There was no pressure , which is a good thing!

    Love the video. Great tips. I am just wondering if there is any issue with installing the cabinets on the floating floor. I have seen other videos where they say not to do it. To just floor up to the toekick. Just wondering what your opinion on it is.

  • @eggrollsparks
    @eggrollsparksАй бұрын

    Definitely an issue. If and when the floor needs to move or float, the cabinets, if installed on them, will not allow this and cause your floting floor to buckle up in other areas.

    What are the sizes of the bits you used for the face frame screws (countersink & the other 2)? Is the 3rd bit to make sure the threads don't grab the wood on the first cabinet?

  • @clemconstructiongroup1700
    @clemconstructiongroup17006 ай бұрын

    The smaller drill bit should be sized to the root,( smaller portion of the threaded part), of the screw you are using. This one I will drill to the depth of the length of screw. The larger bit I size to the diameter of the screw threads and yes it is so that this part of the frame can pull together without the threads grabbing. Any type of wood countersink can be used. The key is getting the depth just right to have the screw head perfectly flush with the surface. This just takes some practice. If your placing the screws behind the door hinges to hide them, you want to be sure to get the screw head slightly lower than the surface.

    This is one of the most insanest Hurricane Clips I ever seen. And you know what? It is always a dream of a house owner that his house would withstand those horror Storms like that and you guys make that dream happen. And your Handcraft is impressing me even more than the storm already. A house withstands 120 mph? With almost no damage? Damn, that's stunning, man.

    Ummm, From my experience with Union anything, I'd rather not learn the most inefficient method possible. My all time favorite to sharpen carpenter pencil was the Swanson AlwaySharp push point carpenters pencils, unfortunately now they seem to have disappeared.

    Is this a joke? Looks like one of those late night commercials selling crap. One swipe with your pencil then 3 or 4 with the other one making it wider😂😂😂😂 a good carpenter takes the size of the lead and mark when cutting. I’ve worked with lots of fine carpenters and I’ve never heard anyone talk about this

  • @clemconstructiongroup1700
    @clemconstructiongroup1700 Жыл бұрын

    It’s about teaching the apprentice detail. If the pencil is butchered so is the work.Paying attention to detail is important. A seasoned veteran carpenter partner knows what your asking for and knows which side of the line to cut. If they show interest in something as small as this they may be trainable.
