I've been in the drone hobby since 2016. Both camera drones and fpv drones. I build my own fpv quads and do part 107 work for a living. I just recently found the rc truck hobby, I have both the thunder and the 2997a, both my very first trucks, and I'm having a blast with it! Bought a laegendary sonic brushless for my 11yr old daughter. Damn where have these trucks been all my life hahaha....new sub here buddy!

Hey buddy some things i noticed and a couple. If you trim up the front of the body it will sit better and not be cock eyed like it is stock. Also i raised the battery posts up by running small washers at the bottom and a longer screw. Just changed the connector to a ec5 and looking forward to trying it on 3s. Might throw a 120a in it and gear up a bit and put a fan on it. Oh i also swapped the radio as mine came with the little baby one lol. Great running bud!!

I'm sure I'll find it, if I'm over looking it, but you got a Traxxas slipper in this thing? What about A arms, or the suspension holders? They want freakin FORTYFIVE bucks for just the dang front ones on Amazon. I cannot force myself to pay that. The ones off of an old wltoys 104001 I've got laying around fit, but have huge holes that the pins can slide through. I took the old dog bones "replaced them with front cvd's" and cut them to fit, but now they've bent. I need an alternate that doesn't cost more than a whole freakin rebuild of any other car lol. What are your thoughts on squeezing a center diff in the thunder? I am looking at the center gears from the 104001, and it looks fairly straight forward to gettem to fit, with some decent amount of modding anyway. I'm not quite brave enough for that step, but I bet you are lol.
