I'm glad to see it worked out for you!. Maybe I should have hooked the card up on mine and adjusted the few settings, it seems that's all It needed was a little tweak! 💪🏼🤘

I watched your video on that Laegendary Thunder!.. I couldn't resist not to get one $111 bucks on Amazon couldn't beat it and gets pretty nuts on 3s. Probably the best hundred bucks I spent on an RC!! 😂😂 🤘

They are great, put a 19t pinion on it 😉, 58.7 on 3s, tires ballooning like crazy, but in all honesty, it's the best bang for the buck RC on Amazon in my opinion. I really enjoy this HBX but the LAEGENDARY is much more stable and uses hex hardware, everywhere, the hbx uses Phillips, well I changed mine over, thata another reason I haven't been able to upload alot also, that damn thing has more screws in it than a home depot!

Check this out, here is a video I did with live telemetry data on a high amp 2s run where my Bandit was hitting well over 80 mph). It isn't let me post the link.... The voltage settles down around 7.2v under load (this is one of the best 2s LIPOs on the market but I was pulling like 170 amps). I was running a 3665 4500kv motor so in theory, if you take 7.2v x 4500 = 32,400 rpm. The actual peak speed of the motor was about 27,000 rpms or about 17 percent lower than the calculated motor speed. With a lower amp draw/shorter gearing, the difference would be less (and the voltage drop would be less too) but I bet you still might see a 10% reduction in motor speed under load. One day I may run this ESC with the telemetry in the HBX as I am curious. I have run my 4500 kv motor on 4s in my Bandit a few times with no issues (now the 5400kv in the HBX at 4s was REALLY pushing it lol but I knew that going into it). If you double the voltage my car was running at 2s (so 14.4v under load) and multiply 14.4 by 4500 you get 64,800 rpm but when you reduce it by 17 percent, you are looking at about 53,800. And my 2s LIPO is a very high end LIPO rated at 250C so my 4s LIPO has more voltage sag so my actual voltage when running it probably isn't much above 50,000 rpms. So long story short, while you would be working a 3800kv motor hard at 4s, the voltage will probably drop to say 15v at the highest and 15 x 3800 = 57,000 rpms. Figure a 10% reduction in speed from the load on the motor and you are right around 50,000 rpms for peak motor speed. My 5400kv motor I ran in the 2997A was probably spinning closer to 70,000 rpms and it came apart after not letting in cool down after doing several runs in a row.

Awesome info, thanks! I have sent so many people to your channel and for thr test you have done with this truck! I'm looking fwd to a 6s pass with this LAEGENDARY thunder soon, bit was stupid fast on 4s for a 1/10 scale truck, crap tires and gearing. Both of these trucks are clearly my 2 favorite right now of all our RC's. I'm looking fwd to getting this 1/10 scale MJX soon, well I was told it would arrive very soon. I see all these test on their hyper go 1/14 scale and 1/16 scales and the other copy versions of them, I get it, 45 mph is fast but they're so unstable, that small wheelbase and narrow track width is just not for me.

@@RCrepairAndBuilds I hope I get my hands on one of those Legendary trucks... I am like you and like to do a deep dive on everything I have, not just one or two videos! The 1/10th scale MJX sounds cool. You said there was a 1/10th scale HBX coming too.... I should be able to get that one! The smaller MJX ones sound fun and all but I am with you. It gets frustrating how they don't handle speed well and the feel more like toys. The 2997A doesn't have the best steering but it is a blast and handles speed pretty well all things considered. Thanks for the kind words. I forgot to mention you on my last HBX video but for sure I will on my next one. you are doing a lot of cool stuff with yours.

Don’t forget the rpms are considerably lower under load. I’ve run my stock motor in the 2997A on 4S several times and provided I only do a couple at a time, it seemed pretty happy. My hit 60 mph on the stock 2s LIPOs in series and they are very low performance. Your results may vary.🤣 I would love to see you run that ESC and your bandit, gear to the moon, to really test it. I am talking 100 mph on 3S torture test it. The HBX motor is rated off the top of my head at like 60a and probably is only drawing like 80a max give or take.

Btw, try this stuff also if you're spinning tires at all, mine has been spinning tires on 4s, bad. I run a small data logger on it and the LAEGENDARY a few times. My dad, brother and I have dragged raced my entire life and we use this stuff on my 67 Chevy II turbo LS3 car, it works and it tremendously helps stability making speed runs with these little cars. Just use a small brush to paint on a light coat, get some heat in the tires before you make a run and you'll be amazed at the increase in stability! stripperglittertc.com/products/traction-compound-32oz

I don't have any spares, sorry. If yours went bad, email laegendary they will ship you a replacement free of charge, their customer service/support is outstanding. I'm gonna do away with mine altogether and mount a center differential in it when I have a few days off work.
