We have traveled NCL about 6 years .. we love everything about the line EXCEPT 1 THING big Alaska cruisers , they screwed us on the itinerary.. Now if we go back to Alaska will never take Ancl

What does having olive skin (you used your husband as the example) have to do, with not getting a sun burn? White skin and brown skin get sunburned and damaged!!! Everyone should wear sunscreen.
Regarding drink packages....we usually purchase cruises that include wine/beer during lunch and dinner. But, we enjoy breakfast mimosas (or 2!) plus wine throughout the day. When we do the price comparison, the upgrade is usually about $20 per person per day, so definitely worth it, without being total luches...LOL
Bridge or Captain. This looks like a much more fun ship than our recent Holland America. We're too old for the Carnival lines....loved RC, but don't need all the flo-riders, slides, etc....but we found Neuw Amsterdam a bit boring. Going to have to check this one out...and we'd love a New England/Canada cruise.
I like to keep the cabin, clean on a cruise. It just makes it seem bigger to me.. and agree, keeping the curtains close especially on a Caribbean cruise or keep your cabin cooler. I can we use a towel, but my husband usually gets new towels every day so I usually just ask our room time for towels. If that’s all we need now we’re getting to just over a month for our Alaskan cruise and of course I have chosen the pages I needed from your cruise planner land I’m filling out and already getting my clothes ready just a little bit!! 😁
at the buffet, if you do not have a drink package, do they give you any kind of drink that is free?
We love watching your videos can anyone that makes commas about your dress and fashion you know you don't have to give but no one an explanation you live your life and you enjoy your opportunities to share but don't worry what other people are thinking they're just jealous or just haters so you keep going and stay pure the way you are with you and your family that's what people are watching and again people can be critical you give us great advice so stay to your guns

Early in our cruising, my wife thought it would be okay to bring a small travel iron. It, of course, was confiscated. We didn’t see the desk where you could reclaim confiscated items. 🙄
My husband and I just returned from an eight night cruise on Celebrity Beyond. We have always been lucky to get a cabin with the bed farthest away from the veranda and have always loved it. I can see where one may not be as happy with the bed closer to it. At the end of the day o suppose it depends on how much time you spend in you cabin instead of exploring the ship and the amazing things it offers! ☺️
Can I cancel a shore excursion on Princess 3 days prior to the excursion on the ship because they won't let me now because we sail in 2 days so excursions are now closed. For a ship credit
I've only ever cruised Disney... They were put in my room without my permission, at my dinner table, and the bar where I'm trying to relax, kids throwing them hitting me when I'm in the movie theater, which by the way could have been anything not just the ducks. People would walk up to me and say look there's a duck outside your room You should take it take pictures post them. Telling me what I should do with them. Someone dropped one in my bag when I was walking to the beach at Castaway Cay. After seven cruises of "lighten up" and having my personal space invaded.. I collect every single one and throw them in the trash... I am there on a cruise to relax and have a good time. Plastic ducks bring many people great joy.. but the last time that I got hit in the head and the movie theater was the final straw. I'm not there to enjoy plastic ducks I'm there to enjoy my cruise.

Just got off the Carnival Firenze and they had a full Gluten Free menu AND Full Vegan Menu for the main dining hall. Also most included restaurants like the Guys Burger Bar, buffet and Pizza place had vegan options, but you have to ask the chief and they are cool about it… no extra charge 🥹🙌

We booked a balcony guarantee cabin on Oases of the Seas- just discovered it is an adjoining cabin.8325. Do you think we should go to customer services once on board and ask if there is another one available that is not adjoining?
Does anyone use the ship’s hangers that have clips? I never use them. Does anyone like the clip hangers? Wish the cruise lines would get rid of them or provide them upon request.

This was on a Holland America cruise a few years back... the map of the ship on the HAL website showed a customer laundry area. When we got on, though, there was no longer a customer laundry room. I told guest services that we had depended on doing laundry for our family and they offered their laundry service at a deep discount.

Use common sense!
The reality is they don’t paid a good wage so tip! Period, full stop. Until the system is changed just do the right thing. Don’t go on a cruise, don’t eat out for dinner if you can afford to tip.
I had no idea that you could get (possibly) all those things at guest service! I have a CPAP so I will ask for distilled water, but I really had never thought of the other items. I like to just walk by when it’s not busy and thank them because I’m sure a lot of people demand things and don’t thank them. Great post!
My first and third cruise was on the same ship. My 1st cruise I requested distilled water and received it for free. The 3rd cruise I had to pay for it. Carnival Pride

Hello, loved all the tips but question for you. Is it possible to leave your balcony door open while sleeping overnight?
Wear what you like, but thongs with children around just seems a bit much. Many of the thongs I have seen on cruises leave NOTHING to the imagination and cover literally none of the female parts. I would not want to see a man walking around with a sock on his tool, and his other parts hanging out.. same with women.
Others advise that if you have a cabin issue (not moving cabins), but like a light out, chairs needed, bed issue, cord for C-Pap, etc. talk with your cabin steward. If each traveler does that, instead of all going to guest services, the steward can come through and less cruisers in line at guest services. - If you are offered something from Guest Services (like a cruise credit), get it in writing before you leave the ship.
Are all cruises announced the year before, or is there a chance that there will be more routes added for next year?
If you bring wine bottles on board, do they have to be check, or carried on? (I know about the fees, and how they are waived with certain drink packages)
Polite, friendly and BE ABLE TO ACCEPT NO on certain things.. Thank you, I was just curious if that was possible, that's the correct answer to a NO. Now I'm not saying if there is a service you paid for or is part of the cruise, that you accept it. But some of the things covered in this video..
I wish I had had that luck with luggage repair! I once had my bag delivered to me and the zipper wouldn’t open. I called guest services and they sent someone up (let’s call him a handyman, because I don’t know what his actual specialty was). He tried basically what I had tried - pulling a lot - and declared he couldn’t get it to open, either. I finally had him slice through the luggage with a box cutter so I could get my things out, then had to buy a new bag in port in able to be able to carry my things home. 😢
I think is, some people need to understand is that there are families who are traveling for almost a month, and sometimes they can't bring enough clothes for certain situations! If you have the financial means to rent clothes! OK But sometimes the holiday money is at the end! We have to be calm about this! I think education is more important, rather than clothing!

One of my friends had discovered their luggage wheel had broken. She went to guest services and they coordinated to get it fixed. (NCL)
