Just a little tip I tried on my last vacation. I had not purchased the silicone toiletries covers. I bought a package of birthday balloons and cut the ends off them, they worked just as well, are lighter (if you are concerned about weight) and work every bit as well as the silicone ones. I had nothing leak! I just bought myself one of those neck supports......AMAZING!

I’ve had the trtl pillow for YEARS and I love it! It really helps me rest on planes and I find it comfortable and supportive. And I love that it’s easy to take off the cover and machine wash.

Here's one of the things I found handy. (You may have already mentioned) Blow up travel hangers (found on Amazon). Saves on space, and they are puffy, so it helps dry if you have something wet. I used it after I wrung out my swimsuits. Drys in a snap!!

I just LOVE my Trtl travel pillow! Have had it for over almost 10 years now and it's a game changer. Not bulky like traditional travel neck pillows and weighs next to nothing. Find it so much more comfortable than the big "donut" pillows.

The travel pillow is awesome! Used it on flight to Australia and it was so comfortable.

A couple of things that I recall that we pack that perhaps I haven't seen on your videos are: socks that have side zippers where you can store money, or credit cards. Also pouches that attached to your bra straps where again you can store money or credit cards. Money belts, money or passport pouches that you wear underneath your clothing . Plus RFID wallets for women and men, especially slim wallets with RFID

I have that neck rest, keeps your head more upright not so bent over. I have even put it in front to lean forward. it stores well and wraps on your bag well in the airport before boarding. Love it.

A couple months ago I purchased some packing cubes you linked to in an older video. They came in very handy for our cruise. My wife used the hanging bag for her toiletries and hung nicely on the bathroom door in our cabin. One of the smaller bags was perfect for my toiletries and fit perfectly on a shelf in bathroom. I packed all my swim stuff in one and left in it after the cruise so they don’t get lost in with my shorts and t-shirts.

I purchased the weekender carry on bag for my hospital stay (4days) and I loved it!!!! I will definitely be taking it along for my next travels!

Thank you so much for all the Amazon finds. Getting ready for my Europe trip. I just ordered the compression packing cubes and the silicone bottle covers.

I’ve had the pill box since you first told us about it. LOVE it. My husband had to have one too. Pills don’t fall out. No need to put pill container in a zip lock bag for extra spill protection anymore. Love the magnetic closure. Your ideas and suggestions are always game changers although my husband isn’t so happy about all the Amazon purchases when you come out with new ideas lol. Thank you!

I use the large pill box as a place for me to put some snacks for the plane Cut up cheese. Raw nuts, a little trail mic, gummy bears, m&ms and it holds enough and its flat! But its also sophisticated. I packed one for my mom too and she loved it!

We used those on a long haul flight JFK to Heathrow and liked them pretty well. Hubby left his on the plane, unfortunately. Mine was a bit awkward to fit in the suitcase during the rest of my trip, though.

3 of my favorite items that I have gotten from your previous videos are the hanging toiletry bag and portable fan. Not only are they essential for a cruise but I take them with me every time I travel now. My other favorite item is cruise specific and that’s the waterproof case/lanyard.. Thanks for another great video of cruise essentials. I have your cruise planner, it is very helpful. I use a folder with sleeves to hold all the papers and documents we need and that stays in there too. I have a couple of the pages laminated (that way I don't have to keep printing it out) and since each cruise is a little different I can use erasable markers and wipe it off then

Tips for a solo cruiser. After spending a night under observation in sick bay on a cruise ship, my friend was disembarked into a foreign hospital. As she was solo, no one was notified of her absence. As there was a chance she would need her passport, all of her items in her safe were put in a bag and placed by her side on the gurney. This included money, jewelry, and passport. She had no advocate at the hospital and didn’t understand the language. Although she did make it back to the ship in time for sail away, it was a frightening day for her. 1. Try to connect with a few others on your ship and if you feel comfortable, make sure they have your contact information. Alert a friend that you are being moved. 2. All items stored in your safe, could be in a small knapsack in case they need to be grabbed quickly.

Thanks for the great info. I have been eyeing those compression packing cubes and I’m going to get them before our 3 week trip later this year. I have that makeup mirror and it’s a great mirror! Hint: mine fit perfectly into one of my bigger makeup bags that I got free Clinique stuff in. So I leave it in the bubble wrap pouch that it came in and slip it into the Clinique bag so keep it safe in my suitcase.

I have and have used the small pill organizer, based on your recommendation, and I really like it. It holds every type of medication that I like to bring along on a trip. Hi Ilana, you are always coming up with the most cleaver items. I’ve purchased and love many of your tips. Regarding the large flip pill box, I bought on prior to our Mediterranean cruise last year. Yes it’s larger, but it holds a lot of OTC medicine you might need. I even made my own sub-dividers (out of cardstock & tape) for some additional pill types we needed to have on hand. It goes in our checked bag, so the size isn’t an issue for me. Thanks for all your great travel hacks!💕💕

I love 5he small clear pouch so you can put a label in for contents. If the cube isn’t mesh I’ve been taping a label on.

Ilana, I actually have an almost dupe for the 7:26 jewelry flat container. My high quality pearl jewelry strands in white pearls, and yellow south sea pearls each came in that package. I purchased them in 2005. I love them. I’ve actually removed the white and reused it for my gold set: necklace, earrings and rings. It is just so practical to pack, as you said, because it’s flat!

I was gifted one of those travel pillows and it was fantastic when I used it!

Hi Llana! My husband and I just came back from our first cruise on Celebrity Edge on April 14. I watched your videos all the time before we left - still will now I'm daying dreaming out our next cruise. We had to travel countries so had to be very careful of what we brought. I only brought a hanging tolietry bag and some magnetic hooks. My only regrets are not bringing something to do laundry with (like laundry powder sheets), not bringing a washingline and not bringing more larger size magnetic hooks. The magnetic hooks are amazing.

I have the collapsible water bottle in pink and LOVE it. I'v used it on two vacations already. It is perfect to add ice to and easy to fill up. We are going on a Rome cruise end of May and looking forward to having this with me.

I just got some compression packing cubes that I thought would work great in my studio cabin on the NCL Bliss coming up in October. With storage so minimal, I think it will help to stack them in the cubbies available. I have gotten away from toiletry bags and carry my toiletries, make up and first aid in ziplock bags that I hang from magnet clips on the bathroom and vanity walls. Love the flat makeup mirror! Mine is round and has a small magnifier that suction cups on it (old eyes can't see close up!)

Yes, that’s true. There are some that are a thicker weave but it’s more of a casual mesh look I think :)

I also use that same pill box. I need the larger size so that gets packed. I have a smaller one for my purse. I love my Turtl. I’ve used it several times. I have that travel mirror too and I found it very useful to do my hair. London flats don’t have outlets in bathrooms and sometimes don’t have a mirror to use when blow drying hair in the living room or wherever the outlet happens to be.😊

I have the neck pillow and I love it for plane trips. Be careful if you are wearing a necklace though. I lost a good necklace on a flight when I hurriedly pulled the neck pillow off to disembark, and I heard something hit the floor but didn't see anything...so I assumed it was nothing. The pillow is great for long layovers at airports, also!!

Your videos are so helpful. I studied at least five of your videos and they were completely true to FormTook my first cruise and you thought I was a professional cruiser. Lol. There were no surprises. Many thanks to you again.

I have that small foldable backpack, it is great, never go on a cruise without it. It's saved me many times, light weight, but can hold a lot of items. Took it on a European cruise and a few Caribbean cruises. ❤

One thing about that travel mirror keep in mind that it has a rechargeable battery so it has to go in a carry-on and cannot be packed in your main suitcase. I saw on the description it weighs 0.7 pounds which is about 11 1/2 ounces.

I have the small pill organizer. Everyone is always so impressed when I whip it out. Lol

Thankyou for demonstrating the amazon goodies. I like the small and large pill box. The large one would be great for q -tips and cotton ball,. finger nail clippers, sewing kit and more more stuff. I have looked at these before and did not order. I will put it back on my cruise list. We have the pack pack. Use it on the 14 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. Just love it. Used it on port days. It will be awhile before we cruise again. Husband had foot surgery. We are looking to cruising again. Take care.

Love, love the Inui phone charger. I can fully charge my phone almost three times with it. The silicon bottle covers are a must. I use them on all liquid bottles while flying because the pressure can make even the best bottles leak. I even use them on alcohol/wine bottles inside the Wine Wing bags. They have a tendency to tear a bit easily so just be gentle with putting them the on and having to stretch them out. When I take them off I roll them from the bottom up. The larger pill case is my preference. I take over the counter supplements and those pills are usually larger so I need the extra space.
