The eclipse is cool
You’re brave.
can you trust the yoke from temu ?
So far, I’ve had no issues with it.
great video, how do you pick camp spot during your trip, how do you plan your next stop for a recharge?
Thank you! I usually would use the iOverlander app to locate stealth camping spots, but I researched different areas before heading there. Tesla’s internal navigation system inherently maps out the charging stops during your trip. It’s a game changing feature.
Yoke equals relaxation in my estimation.
How can you tell if you get a Fremont or Austin built model y?
I’m not sure 🤔
@@outdoorevofficial placed an order Sunday night picked up my MYP Tuesday. Crazy. When I got my 21 model 3 it took like 5 weeks. I found out that the 11th spot on the VIN will say A or F. Mine was F. Thank you for the reply!
i've never heard of a rear view mirror and is motorized and self adjusts....is there?
Nope, but it would a sick feature
i close my frunk w/ 1 hand by pressing straight down on the "T."
I heard that’s not the best method 🤷♀️ but Jason and I do that sometimes
In camp mode does it lock the doors so that ppl can't open the doors from the outside?
You have to disconnect your phone key in order to keep your Tesla locked.
How do you like the swivel mount for the screen? I have a similar one but it lowers the screen height by ~1in. It's a slight adjustment at 1st but definitely felt different for awhile.
We love it so much!!! It’s drastically improved our driving experience the moment we installed it.
The automatic Frunk opening like the rear is banned due to possibly opening while driving. Imagine what could happen if it opens while driving?
I mean it wouldn’t open anyway because you’d be driving. The option to open would be greyed out.
What happens when you need to go to the restroom while doing The Camp Mode?? - LOL
Always gotta have a plan A and B. Luckily I got those 👍
FYI when it comes to pan frying a steak, you want the heat almost as high as possible to get a good sear. that's called a Maillard reaction. without sufficient high heat, you're more boiling the meat than searing to a get crust. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZId5q9OdnbmTqbA.html
Thanks for helpful suggestion!
If the Tesla is rockin, don't come a knockin
Biggest issue is the auto pilot nag screens for sure.
Front trunk auto opens with using iPhone shortcuts automations with Siri and Tesla app integration
Damn love this channel. Keep tesla app running in background and key 🔑 no issues
Links to those window covers ???!!!!
I’m updating them now! 😅
So much fun and loving all the videos. I haven’t used it on a road trip yet, currently use this set up for naps during my break when I’m in the office 😁
The blue ext and white/black int looks so nice together. Congrats! 🎉
I use an android and never had issues with the door not unlocking when getting close to my 24 model Y. not once it failed/delayed on me.
That’s good for you :)
@outdoorevofficial I heard that Teslas have sleep mode. Maybe yours goes to sleep mode automatically when exiting the vehicle. I've never messed with mine but that could be something you can look into.
wow, i so impressed. Is it safe to campout in the car? Are there other cars doing the same nearby?
I generally feel safe camping. I always carry defensive tools incase though.
How do you track down location of those free Tesla chargers?
I use app called plugshare
The dash cam footage automatically deletes itself when senses being full. You dont need old footage
I doesn’t automatically delete for us. We always have to physically delete the clips on our computers
@@outdoorevofficial why is that
@@AlanTrades I'm not sure
This is unrelated but I still don’t get why people have such hatred for Tesla to the extent they key the cars on purpose like if you got a thing against the company go after them not innocent people that own the car… they paid and worked hard for that car there’s no reason to do that
Thanks
Do you guys know how long the delivery appointment step took for them to contact you, we've been waiting a couple of days with no response?
We got a text message from the Tesla store saying you’re ready to come start the delivery process. It took us a little while to get that message. I would be try to stay patient, but if you think it’s been awhile, I recommend calling your nearest Tesla store/the store you plan to pickup your new Tesla.
@@outdoorevofficial thank you I appreciate it 👍
Tesla insurance is cheaper but unfortunately customer service is horrible
I’ve been interested in the Tesla Model Y, and after watching your video, I’m thoroughly convinced it’s for me, but I do have one concern, and that is the length of that mattress. I’m 6’1” tall, will I need to keep the rear hatch open 😊? Please say no 🙏. Thank you for the video.
Yay, I’m glad you more interested:) Nope. I don’t think you will.
@@outdoorevofficialthank you. That’s nice to know. As long as I can fit, I’m good to go. It’s shopping time. 👍😊
How much does the battery drain in camp mode?
around 10 pecent
DID SHE SAY BUTTHOLE?
Awesome. I got mine yesterday. Glad you got yours too. Enjoy!
Wow! Imagining overnight farts in that very small space! 😅
luckily we have @dailylabs car fragrance 😂
Quick question, why do you have a wood trim piece across the dash instead of the white trim that comes with the white interior? Was that something you changed afterwards?
we got it from a sponsor :) so we installed it separately
Great video, but some of these items should be coming as standard with a premium priced car.
There has to be a reason why the newest cyber truck didn't come with a yoke.
the cyber truck is it’s own unique brand aesthetics
Trust me doesn’t work! I bought it tried to install, and nearly broke my brand new car. First my car was grinding and braking, then I redid it, and then it’s say my lane keeping was unavailable
Sounds like you must have did something wrong when u installed it.
@@outdoorevofficial not the second time. The first time I forgot to screw in one part. I redid it and it didn’t work. What year is your car, mine is 2024.
@@apolloxgod 2023, you have gotten a bad product then?
@@outdoorevofficial could be, but it’s hard to tell
Does this void your warranty and what is your mileage now? Has the yoke affected anything, like fsd? What are the weight differences?
I don’t think so. Nope, it works fine with FSD and the weight difference is very minimal. It might weigh a little lighter.
“We found this free charger near the airport” then proceeds to pay with a phone.
it didn’t have to pay. It was to access it/check in
Oh
❤❤❤❤❤
Very fair
Glad you like the yoke; 90% of people don't; my model X came with one, and I loved it, too.
Yoke is so 2008, so 2000 and late. Looks into getting the cybertruck steering wheel instead. Much smaller than a round wheel but still has the top portion unlike the yoke, making it best of both worlds.
glad we have one now :)
I have a yoke and absolutely love it !
You want to come fix my ride too?
i gave u the steps to do it :D
Thank you much.
I came here for the EV content but damn, this almost turned into a cooking channel lol I think it's pretty cool how you rolled the sponsored content right into your own content - well done.
haha, thank you
For the tires my recommendation is to use Discount Tires if they exist in your states. They provide free tire rotations and if you buy their tire insurance per tire, it covers any road damage. if they cannot patch it they will replace it under warranty! My sister model Y had two tires slashed and Discount Tires replaced it under warranty which saved her over 1K+ in saving. Just do proper tire rotation at their shop and they will honor their warranty ! My second advice is getting insurance from Costco, it is much cheaper and reliable! My sister had a T-bone accident and the insurance company covered the repairs fine. Good luck and have fun! :D
Thank you for your recommendations!
Also the link isn’t working, it send to just Temu and not the specified seller of the yoke.
If you search up Yoke it should pop up, but I’ll update the link soon
While Tesla Insurance offers an attractive solution to potentially high premiums, my driving habits may not be optimized for their real-time pricing model. Exceeding the speed limit during passing maneuvers, even to minimize time in oncoming traffic, could negatively impact the quoted rate. The insurance cost for a Tesla Model Y Long Range, particularly for my age group, presents a significant hurdle. Traditional insurers' quotes range from $600 to $800 per month, exceeding my budget. I am torn between pursuing my dream of owning a Tesla and the financial reality of potentially high insurance costs. Tesla Insurance appears to be a potential solution, but my driving habits might not be fully aligned with their model. I would appreciate any insights or recommendations from the community to help me navigate this decision.
Comparing to other insurances, I’ve heard that Costco auto insurance isn’t too bad.
You made it look too easy, please let me know do you have experience with this type of stuff? I was impressed and it’s the only reason why I haven’t got the yoke. I really want one!!
I do not. I just followed the instructions Temu gave me. I installed it before making to the video to understand it better, but it was technically my second try. It was worth taking the time to install it!
