Back in the early 2000’s I did several cross country road trips, sleeping in my car. This was nostalgic for me. In about 3 years I’m planning on doing another cross country trip, but this time with my daughter in a Model Y. We’re going to go from New England to the west coast, then bring her to all of my favorite spots when I was younger. Thanks for making this great video and bringing back memories!

I'm planning to do a round-trip Portugal-Warsow this summer (around 2500km ~= 1739miles). Usually I had to always plan everything ahead and look for AirBnB's on the way, which are usually expensive and located further away from the main road. Now it will be just camping in the Model Y ☺

@@lorenzo575 I did my original ones when I was in my 20’s and lived mostly out of my car. I was switching between jobs and coasts, and took the time to have fun. One time I flew back to my home in northern NY for Christmas then had to go back to Seattle area after my leave was up. I was in the Army then. The next one will be planned with vacation and doing car camping with my kid.

@@drathen1556 There are some good things and bag things. I'm glad they improved the parking assist feature. It's cool they added the apple podcasts and updated some of the arcade games, however, I don't really use apple podcast nor the arcade that much. Majority of the update is great. I'm disappointed in the AP update. I think they went a little extreme on the Autopilot Suspension feature, but I get it they want to promote proper and safe usage of AP. Personally, I wish they didn't add that, but so far I've been driving with the new update for a little bit now, and I haven't ran into any major issues. It's just a bit annoying having to touch the wheel a lot more than I did and having to worry more about the warning than the actual road when I'm using AP.

The Cybertruck not having the wall between the bed and the passenger compartment fold down is a big miss for Tesla. The seats don't fold down for camp mode. It's less safe than camping in the S, 3, X, and Y. You have to use a tent over the bed of the Cybertruck. You probably can't pitch that tent in a Holiday Inn parking lot without security coming around. Imagine if that wall and the seats folded down and you can camp out inside the Cybertruck, it would have been a game changer. If you've read this far, you have an awesome channel that gives a younger, fresh take on owning a Tesla. I watched all the videos and noticed you got sponsorship within 2 months of starting the channel. Well done. Keep going.

One tip, if you're looking to speed things up, try to get to between 10-20% when stopping at the Supercharger, as it will mean a much faster charge speed. Also, if you limit your charging to 80% it will shave 10-15 minutes off your charge times generally. It's of course a tradeoff, while it might make your trip shorter, it will mean a bit more charging stops total.

@@outdoorevofficial valid point! I speak from the perspective of a 58 year old where the thoughts of adventure have long since been overtaken by the need for creature comforts! Here in the UK such long trips and distances are all but inconceivable. For me a long drive would be from London to Paris (via the Channel Tunnel) only some 400 miles. Or perhaps driving to Scotland- some 500 plus miles. I regularly see road trips in the U.S of more than double. In fact whenever I have been to the States would regularly consider these enormous distances as relatively easy!
