This is a perfect example of teams being able to get their money back for players being shyt. How long would the average person be able to keep their job if that was the effort your employer got out of you. Much less keep making an insane amount of money.

From what I'm hearing (as a person who don't know much about basketball). It sounds like you're saying: NBA is more technical whilst FIBA is more tactical as in: In Europe you need more understanding of the tactical parts and more team play mentality whilst in the NBA you need more individual skill and more of an egotistical mindset (I don't mean it in a bad way btw, both ways has it's pros and cons). Am I understanding you correctly?

The rules in the NBA aren’t enforced, defense isn’t played, and if you look at a super star wrong, calls will go against you for years. The nba is making its players lazy and unskilled by not letting them play the game of basketball. It’s become a game of trade 3s first, everything else later

Inexplicable to me how someone can reach this level of basketball, and not only that, but be the #1 overall pick yet be so inept at such a rudimentary aspect of the sport. On top of that you have access to the best trainers and facilities, are free from traditional 9-5 constraints, and oh, someone is also paying you an obscene amount of money to improve.

I couldn’t tell if I made this up or not, but in the first minute of the video, did you identify Ben Simmons career as a “troll-er coaster?” 😂 Regardless, that’s a beautiful way to describe his pro playing days.

I had a similar injury to ben simmons (lower back disk herniation) and the mental effects that come with the fear of the pain (which is completely random) flaring up again is immense. normal activities would cause me excruciating pain so i became scared to do anything for a while

I can always empathize with anyone bouncing back from the traumas of injury. But I cannot condone Ben's overall lack of passion for the game/ his job. I've seen many players go thru injuries similar or even worse than Ben, and even before injury Ben never showed half of the commitment to getting better, let alone being at his possible best. It's hard to sympathize with someone who didn't put in the effort for us to truly care

I dunno, i grew up on the euroleague since the 80s , and it's around the level of college in the states. It's tougher very defensive and strict. There aren't many great players simply cause Europe is a football continent. Basketball is an afterthought, a distant second.

Ben Simmons had significant personality deficiencies from early on. He exudes indifference to others and refuses to learn anything that is hard and does not come naturally. It was inevitable that these deep inherent flaws would have never been overcome in a high-pressure team sport!

I get it; he is not a shooter. Don't make him shoot. But my advice to him is to at least practice his free throws and finish around the rim. He is quick, big, and a defensive menace. Yeah, practice free throws, Ben.

The video starts with Ernie Johnson saying, “let’s talk about this Ben Simmons thing.” My response is no, Ernie…let’s not. Especially if you can only frame the issue within the context of basketball whilst turning a blind eye to the hair stylists, cashiers, accountants, unemployed, and executives that you know personally, that are basically doing the same shit. So Ben isn’t “owning it.” So what?! Like we’ve never seen this before???

Great tactic analysis video. Always great to see someone highlight the approach by the team members, regardless of if it ended up with a score or almost one, rather than shoehorn a score that is not quite demoing the point you're making❤.

Nba scouts should now have a Ben Simmons rule for when they are doing the combine to test for mental attributes because he has all the talent in the world, but he is mentally weak and it was obvious that they noticed these things during his combine and during his college years. Personally, I think he should have had his contract terminated. There's nothing wrong with his back. It's all in his mind.
