Thankfully most British soldiers don't need instruction on how to open a plastic bag.

You drew the short straw with that one, my favourite would have been the one with the lamb hotpot in it and not the crappy pasta. Also next time heat them up, taste way better.

It’s boil in the bag!! Boil some water and put the bag in it. It then gets heated. The stove takes fuel blocks which is more than enough to boil some water.

Really wish you'd got the hexy burner going and heated up the breakfast pouch then used the hot water to make a cup of tea like a civilised soldier.

I rate the video, but the meals are designed to be heated, otherwise the food is much worse.

It’s boil in a bag food. You heat it in water then either use the hot water for a drink, or to wash with.

You can eat any of it cold, it's all precooked, or you can heat it up by putting the bag into water and bringing it to the boil, and then use the hot water to make the tea or coffee. The matches are waterproof, so you can literally spend a day submerged in water and still light a match when you get into dry land. We call that powdered fruit flavoured drink "schreech" and if you taste it, as you just did, you'll know why. The bright shiny bags are stuck on trees and bushes after lunch so everyone (the enemy) knows we've been there.

what makes it dental gum is that its likely made from Xylitol sweetener which is known to be good for the gums and teeth, which is also why it warns of a laxative effect too... realistically, any gum thats sugar free is dental gum... it just removes build up and such as you chew
