At 5:05 where did you get 2 and 5? Is it just a random pick of numbers or you did something?

Those are the values of t where v(t) = 0 (*see 4:14). These are the locations where the particle may change directions since it needs to come to rest in order to change direction.

@Michael Essel Not as well as I wanted it to, unfortunately. I had technological problems with submitting my work, so I'm currently filling out the make up exam form. Also, I really struggled on it which was a surprise to me. I really froze up as soon as I saw the question appear on my screen

Hi! Quick question! How would we interpret a p-value for a two-sample z-test (or t-test)? The normal format assumes the null hypothesis is true and says that there is a p-value probability of getting a statistic of ___ or more extreme from expected, purely by chance. Because there are two statistics from two proportions, which statistic should I use? Thanks!!
@ScottKennedyMath4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ed, for two means/proportions the null hypothesis is that there is no difference between means/props. So, your conclusion will be in reference to the difference in parameters. Such as, "we have convincing evidence the proportion of patients cured is greater in the treatment group than the placebo group...". I do exactly what you ask in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kYidydyQitLUlZM.html

Golden Fearz I was definitely more prepared than I though I was. Didn’t have time to fully answer part E or F on question 1 and part E on question 2. A studied a bunch for inference tests and they were used surprisingly little.
