It is the driver entering the motorway who has to give way. He should have either sped up to get in front of you or slowed down to merge behind you.

There is also the potential danger that it undertook the grey van just before. Always prepare to move to the right when coming up to a entry slip way. This was limited because of the recent undertake. Drivers should be aware of the bigger picture and use OP solely for speed control and steering assist IMO.

How did you “register” SIM card for comma two and prime?

Outside of US, you’ll need to buy your own SIM card with data allowances from a local carrier. You then insert it into comma two and activate comma prime from the app.

Does the Factory RSA still show signs in the gauge cluster for you? That's my only concern with putting one in my 21 Corolla Hybrid. I live in BFE with boring long straight highways and not much scenery, so this would be a real lifesaver for helping prevent driver fatigue.

Assuming by RSA you mean “Road Sign Assist” (?) then yes I believe it should function just as normal with or without Openpilot connected / engaged. From my experience though, I’ve really only seen RSA picking up speed limits in the UK (i.e. no stop or give-way signs) just for your reference.

All factory systems will work the same other than cruise control once it is set and any lane keeping systems when Openpilot is engaged. Any other factory system not to do with these will be completely unaffected.

Glad that u found the solution. For me, I've found optimum position for my seat. Maybe if later u find thinner lens, do update. It is too thick I think. I believe, someday I will use the similar solution too!

Haha, that’s probably because it was my *1st* drive with OP on the highway :-) But even then, I was massively impressed and definitely felt the chill. Now I’ve become quite used to the system and much more “at ease” with it. Simply put, if without Openpilot I start to feel fatigue after about an hour on highway, with Openpilot I’ll probably be able to do 3 hours or even more.

Hi, what exact problems are you expecting to get fixed? From my experiences, DM actually works just fine once you activate the RHD drive setting. It does miss my face once in a while but I’d still say it’s working well enough and certainly not a “blocker” in any way.

Its a design choice, it only warns you when you really need it. If it's warning you a lot the brain tends to tap out and ignore the warnings. So they are really when needed, not so agressive

It should be $999 for comma two + $200 for harness + $30 for shipping, so totaling $1229. Some say they get taxed by DHL although (luckily) it didn’t happen to me.

TOUCH STEERING WHEEL: No Face Detected. I believe for us with RHD, the best location to mount is at the middle (horizontally) of the windscreen. To make the FOV of the front camera includes our face, we need to vary the vertical position by making it lower. Of course, too low can block our sight. I tried moving horizontally to the right (for better driver monitoring), but since the windscreen is curved, it affect the calibration and gave me "calibration invalid: reposition device and re-calibrate" before.

Yeah it’s not ideal, and will probably keep that way for a long time until Comma decides to customize their 3D printed housing for RHD countries so the smartphone can be mounted the other way round.

Hi, great video. Are you mounting the Comma Two as high as possible in your Corolla (of course after considering to open the stock camera cover (slide down) and to unmount the Comma Two (slide up))? Reason I'm asking is that this is the first time I noticed from your Comma Two screen, your bonnet occupy around 20% (the height) of the camera view.

Hi, as you noted there is a gap about 1-2 cm wide between the mount and the bottom of the trim cover, because otherwise the front-facing camera won’t see me properly for driver monitoring to be effective. Openpilot will perform a calibration procedure before its first drive and this is still well within the margin I think.

@@wangmat9219 DM works OK if you switch on the RHD toggle in the settings - that tells comma two to monitor the opposite half of the front-facing camera. That said, I’d prefer it if comma actually flips the smartphone in their mount for RHD users, just so the camera gets closer to the driver which will definitely further improve DM performance. I might do a video about it in the future.
