Driving and explaining Openpilot on UK city roads

This is me manually driving the car (w/ Openpilot disengaged) around town on UK city roads.
In the meantime, we'll be looking at Openpilot visualizations to see what it is detecting and predicting, to understand how it works and envisage how it might perform on city roads.
* Route: Kidbrooke to Greenwich Park via A2
* Vehicle: Toyota Corolla Touring Sports 1.8 (MY 2020)

Hi, I’m not sure if I understand your question, but enabling Openpilot does not affect stock HBS so it should just still work as usual.
How much was the total for this set up? Including all harnesses etc shipped to UK?

It should be $999 for comma two + $200 for harness + $30 for shipping, so totaling $1229. Some say they get taxed by DHL although (luckily) it didn’t happen to me.

@@ukopdriver I wanted to check which harness you've ordered. Is it the development kit harness or OBD-II harness kit? Looking to get onboard this with a BMW 2 series PHEV

It’s the ODB-II harness I believe. I bought it last month so it’s their latest setup. Good luck with your BMW! Is there a particular fork for that, or are you planning to hack one for yourself?

Dying to know if driver monitoring is being fixed in the RHD market.

Hi, what exact problems are you expecting to get fixed? From my experiences, DM actually works just fine once you activate the RHD drive setting. It does miss my face once in a while but I’d still say it’s working well enough and certainly not a “blocker” in any way.

Its a design choice, it only warns you when you really need it. If it's warning you a lot the brain tends to tap out and ignore the warnings. So they are really when needed, not so agressive

Check out my latest video :-) I’ve found a really simple fix for DM to work 100% for RHD users.

I live near London and I'm thinking of getting a compatible car and using Openpilot. I'm trying to find someone who'd be willing to take me for a test drive. I'd be willing to pay for the trouble.
