  You can kinda just tell by this kids face that he is likely well below 5’9, I’m guessing your classic 5’7 guy claiming 5’9. Legit 5’8-5’11 barefoot is absolutely fine, even in the west, if you have a good face. 6’2 is probably the height that starts compensating for a mediocre face.

  For my thoughts: It does and at the same time it doesn't imo. And honestly, even if this guy were to be 6'2, I don't think it would really do him any good (protruding ears, weak eye area, slight nose asymmetry, etc). If you're like very subpar facially (i'd say 3/10), then being 6ft won't really make much of an impact. But if you're higher up going up to 5-6, then yeah. It can do a world of wonders but if you're shorter, then it will become a challenge. However, if you're someone that's like REAL good lookin (pushing past a solid 7; take guys like Damian Keter, Cillian Murphy, Zayn Malik, etc.), then the height would just get overlooked.

  I disagree with your assertions. First of all you are showing a young male model in his prime years vs their aged, and from what i can see, out of shape parents. If you want to prove genetics play no role/little role with Sean, Jeremy and Chico, you need to see their parent's facial features in their prime and with similar bodyweight. In a fair example you will see that genetics do indeed play a role. Minor point you left out is that their parents are tall, their fathers are all 6ft+. Lastly, you are right some people waste their potential with lifestyle but you cannot deny that genetics determine the potential. Which means that the most looksmaxxed person will only look as good as his genetics allow him to be.
