Are you using custom pids? I have a few set up for my 08 RAM 3500 but the turbo one i had to try a custom pid as I didn't find one in the app.

Hi Marion thanks for all the great videos my question is do you replace the rear filter when you replace the front filter I usually time them out on the filter monitor and then I replaced them can you run the back one longer than the front one?

Thanks, I change them at 15K together. With the clean diesel now, that's probably overkill but the danger in going to long is low fuel pressure could take out the injection pump. That would cause the pump to fail prematurely which would be expensive. Wish we had a pressure gauge to look at.

I recently did the update on my 2017 to get the warranty extension. Just got back from a 1200 mile trip towing my 10K Lb trailer. I did not notice any difference in fuel economy. Averaged 12 mpg in 5th gear @ 70 mph.

Most modern vehicles don’t notify the driver of a light out at all. I’m actually surprised your RAM does. I see so many late model RAM trucks with the third brake light out - I imagine the base models with the smaller cluster don’t notify you?

it's likely due to the security system being triggered. Here are some things you can try: If the fob battery is low or dead, the motorcycle might not recognize it. Default PIN: If you haven't set a custom PIN, it might be the default factory PIN. Check your owner's manual for the default code or contact the dealer. Follow these steps to enter the PIN: Turn the ignition key to the "On" position. Hold the left turn signal button until you see "Enter PIN" on the display. Use the turn signal buttons to enter your PIN. The left button changes the digit, and the right button moves to the next digit. Battery Connections: Double-check the battery connections. System Reset: Sometimes, resetting the security system can help. This can often be done by disconnecting the battery again for a few minutes, then reconnecting it and trying the start sequence again. If all else fails, contact your Harley-Davidson dealer. They can help you.

My '17 Laramie is giving a "front turn signal inop" message at every start up. Its a non serviceable part, entire headlight has to be replaced. What has the world come to when a guy cant even change a blinker bulb?

I have the 2014 Ram Laramie also and it's been going on for a couple years now the left tail light a couple of the LEDs are like burned out and then it'll start working again,then a couple months later it will go out again and then start working again. Right now it's working, and I don't want to spend the big bucks on a new tail light👍🏻🇺🇲

My 2021 Ram Limited is LED in and out so when the bulbs start going its going to be expensive, and from what I hear the rear tail lights are one piece and can't replace the bulbs and cost as much as one year at college. 😥

Mine started leaking on my 2018. I took the light off and a small bead of black silicone on the gasket. It took care of it. I didn’t put much so if I have to replace a bulb I can get it off.

Thanks so much for this. I’ve lost count of how many times I asked my wife to watch and see if the brake lights are working and her response was always yes. So I had her push the brake pedal and sure enough it was the 3rd brake light that was out. You have increased our safety on the road. Thank you sir!

Afternoon Marion Blair, Yes i got my got my letter endo of January and I am skeptical myself asked a few friends who have also gotten the letter, they said their trucks had very high mileage so they deleted there's. I have a 2018 2500 Tradesman 6.7 Cummins turbo 4X4 short bed, I bought it in 2020 and right now it has 25 thousand miles on it. But I will be calling my dealer to have the work done in a couple of weeks. As you mentioned when it comes to the emissions it is VERY COSTLY, so to get that extra warranty on that would be less to worry about if it has issues. So after I have it done I will let you know how long it took and if I notice any changes to like fuel mileage any lights that randomly blink buzz or ding. 😄 Have a great day sir.

I had the 67a recall done on my 2014. Truck has 205000 on it with stock emissions, no issues. No change in performance.

Don’t forget that you’ll probably need a new gasket. Otherwise, you’re gonna have leaks and your headliner will be stained. As always, thanks, man!

They left out the DPF and EGR on the 13-18. I still need more incentive.

My 2015 RAM with 79,000 miles: After replacing the turbo actuator (under extended warranty luckily) the whole rear diff (at 58,000 miles), the DEF pump, the DEF injector, the NOX sensor and then having the dealer tell me the truck needed a new SCR CAT (after it had already been replaced once under warranty at 21,000 miles) I got rid of the truck (needless to say at a great loss). Also, my diesel mechanic had said the front diff and the transmission may go next. So, hoping now with this recall I can at least get reimbursed for some of the Emissions parts I put into it because I did do the 67A Recall - and I did notice a bit more DEF usage after that, but that's all. I ended up replacing the truck with an '07 5.9L. 🙂

I have 310,000 miles on the exact truck. Transmission is acting funny, but all and all is a great truck. Rear end is acting up too. Duel injectors etc. 310k think that is normal?

I too have a truck that falls within the recall. My angst is the main sponsors include the California Air Resources Board who have taken the additional step of forbidding the re-registration of any truck that hasn’t already had the recall performed.

i made the repairs then I got the recall.Submitted a claim and they are reimbursing the wholw repair cost... 2015 ram 3500 4x4 6.7 151k on the truck.

You are going through exactly what I am with my 2015 ram 3500. I am very interested in if you get the recall done and what your results are. My DEF system failed under warranty in 2018 and my turbo actuator was replaced a year later. FCA said it was replaced due to faulty diagnostics and sent my $4000 back. I was shocked. I subscribed to you channel to keep up with your decision. Thanks again for a great video.

Seems to me the EPA dont want to take all the crap from people when these high mileage trucks are broke down all over the place due to emissions junk and they are passing the buck to cummins to keep them running. This way customer complaints dont go through the roof.
