    And you are definitely not using a cross patter for the tightening sequence...... what a professional you are 🎉

    If you are only going to use lock washers for the surface, why not just use a regular washer? You just threw shade on a guy for not being a professional, not doing it right while calling yourself a professional, and already using shortcuts in the early process.... js

    I have been getting hate for blowing Kicker solo L7r 12's. Not sure what changed with kicker from 2005 to now. Long story short I destroyed my beloved l5 because I listened to it full power it with a drill on top. I replaced it with a like speaker thinking it was an upgrade. After than I kept blowing the l7's. People blame my amp settings, but I later got a Skar EVL and have not had an issue. The amp I was using was a JP8. Even clipping it I cant see how that would destroy a Solo. I am open to ideas, and sure I am gonna be called a liar. I never tried to warranty a speaker. I am was just disappointed the normal solos can't take abuse any more. I was a die hard kicker guy until 2020. I had no idea Skar was the most hated brand in the world. However I have been very pleased with it. My time to go with Sundown is finally here, but not because skar failed me. Basically Iam wondering what your thoughts are on a Solo L7r running on a D4S JP8 under the worst possible scenario. My L5 lasted all this time until I messed up.

    All you did was show how a crossover works if you set the crossovers like you would if you were going to run them for subs it would have been a better test. That smart 3k is absolutely made for subwoofers, and will out perform that 2k anyday. Now it might not outlast it. So at the price of a full bridge amp what you do is over buy. So if you need 2k buy a 3k or if you need 5k buy a 8k, and run it at 60% copacity. They literally make a bass3k and a hd3k that only have crossovers that only go upto 200hrz. This guy is just hating bc hes not selling any amps.

    I see so many issues in this way of eyeballing to cut and centering. Not to mention the sanding of the basket so debri can fall into the magnet gap.. Probably charged the customer a fortune..

    the lower the frequency will create more heat, a continuous 24hz sine wave at a few hundred watts will make that coil get super hot

  • @biguzivert
    @biguzivert12 күн бұрын

    Is that because less movement overall? So less cooling. People at shows will play low frequencies on subs in between demos because it cools down the subs.

    Hey guys, i just bought a DD 712f (1500 rms) and powering with T1500bdcp. I tuned amp to clipping at volume 30. But my dumbass installed the sub (in spec box) and immediately turned it to volume 32 with a bass heavy song for about 5 seconds. Coil started smelling (but not really bad like a blown sub, just enough for me to notice it’s getting hot), so I turn the volume down slowly and let it cool. So basically I over powered sub (because Rockfords are underrated) with dirty clipped power. But I’ve been playing it below volume 30 for a few days now and it seems perfectly fine. Should I worry that i lessened the subwoofers life? Or was it the glue on coil “breaking in”? Thanks you guys

    I just bought one of these for tuning my amps because I have never done it before but when trying to check everything out and set it up i get NO Distortion whatsoever on the head unit at max volume but when I go to the amp I am clipping before I even touch the gain so I backed the volume down to about 35 of 62 and I can move the gain slightly but no more than that or clipping so thinking everything is set properly i go to play music and my subs are inaudible WTF i have tried searching for other people with the same issue on different forums and they say it can be my phone that im playing the test track through or the head unit or possibly the LOC can anyone help me here i just spent 7K on a brand new setup and can't even get my amps tuned can anyone tell me how to do it right i can do the old math& multimeter method but as i said I am new to this so I want to make sure I do it right and not mess anything up and since my head unit isn't showing clipping where should I set the volume before adjusting the gain im going to be running a 15" Incriminator audio TYRANT with a Deafbonce AAK 6k and i don't want to blow my sub I have ordered everything possible from subwoofer temperature monitoring system, LF Audio products, wattage and impedance meter etc to keep an eye on EVERYTHING but I need some help doing this right since im winding up with distortion every way i turn

    Do not play a new sub full blast out the box ... your spider is stiff af and restricting coil movement ...i u push too hard u may prematurely tear the spider away from the coil former and later down the road as u enjoy the sub ....it full tears because of how u treat it from new also u wont have full xmax which hinders the movement or travel of the cone which in turn hampers the cooling effect trust a sound guy with knowledge ..dont mind misleading info ...good subs arent cheap care your babies thank you

    Cool video but this is not useful because you're showing us 1200wpc. But most home hifi amps are 100-150 wpc. I care more about sound quality....Apple Music lossless quality, rather than compressed Spotify.
