Wow.
Why do you end your videos like that? Like before it's done. Give a little more time and elaborate, at least visually, a bit more. Somewhat unsatisfying.
These videos were made short for social media reels which are designed to be short. Agreed longer ones are needed, but this is down to not having the time. We are a very small team at the Hall and these were made during lockdown.
Imagine hide and seek in havington hall!
Whenever I see old houses, etc. my immediate thoughts are what’s in those attics? ❤️
Yeah great ,nothing to see here 😂
Wouldn't it have been made a bit more comfortable for the priest? Wouldn't there have been a rug and something like tapestries on the walls for warmth and to hide sound? Would there have been a candle and maybe a little table and chair? A cot to sleep on? A chamber pot, a jug of water or ale, bread and cheese and maybe even an hour glass to keep track of time? If I were going to hide a priest I'd have those spaces stocked a bit for comfort. But maybe there's something I don't know about that would keep them from doing that. The red herring jewelry box was pretty smart!
Didn't even mention the well, the only one in a kitchen anywhere in England.
There is a separate video for that 😉
@@harvingtonhall5576 jolly good. I like the important things 😁
So you get around to showing it, and the video ends. Half of the shot is taken up by the notification for the next video and we can't even see what you bothered to film. Lame.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Great explanarion
Any good ghost stories associated with the house?
Would love more priest hides
My Wife and I have visited Harvington Hall a few times. It's really interesting to see it from an Ariel view to get a bigger perspective of the site.
We are viewing the attic with the advantage of your camera light/flashlight. Imagine what it would have been like for a priest to navigate his way to one of those priest hides using a candle or even no light at all. Is there any written record of a priest using one of the priest hides for its intended purpose?
That would be flat out terrifying! I would go squirrly after 5 minutes in the dark . Hats off to you for being brave enough to do that!
That attic was soooo,creepy!
What was that noise "I am" in hide at 808 Was it a Ghost Did the hunters ever find a priest in House
as far as they know, no priests were ever found at Harrington, because otherwise the hide would have been destroyed
Fantastic video, so interesting especially as it is an area the public cannot access.
VERY VERY Interesting please more vídeos ! PS I LOVE your red hair !!- 😁👍
Yes! More and More ! Please this most fascinating ! 👍👍👍
STUNNING!
English Martyrs, pray for us
I agree with you it does look like 1730 something and the WM is also very clearly seen. Your videos are very interesting, thank you for uploading them.
only the smart and clever ones survived
I prefer the ceiling without the plaster 😊
£20 says there are more secrets to find.
I love this place I went there today
I went here today I went in the priest hide that was in the library I loved it
I went into this hide in the year 2000 as part of a school trip. Seemed a lot bigger back than! Cool to see it once more.
This is so cool! I didn't even know priest hides were a thing. Thanks for this great video!
Well done! I will never get over to the UK, and am descended from Welsh recusants so these have been great to watch. Thanks so much for taking the time to make them and post them for all to enjoy. God bless you and your work at preserving the recusant heritage.
Well done!
Just got back from a wonderful guided tour of harvington. What a wonderful place ❤
Wow you have the best job ever! Thanks
Fascinating! Thank you!
Lol, you say it was dark and horrible in there, and it probably was, but not as dark and horrible as the dungeons in the Tower.
What came first? The blob or the ball?
Awesome video! I miss exploring these wonderful places now that I am back in New Zealand. More videos, please! Keep them coming!
At Harvington Hall, they take hide and seek *really* serioiusly.
HOW was it discovered?
Where does the blacked out window lead to?
The blacked out window looks into an empty book cupboard situated on a spiral staircase
@@harvingtonhall5576 should try passing a camera through it, might be neat.
Absolutely incredible. We don't have any houses like that where I live (Australia). I'm so obsessed with this house
I'm so obsessed with this amazing house. I love the videos you do. I have visiting this place on my bucket list. It's the only thing on my list 😁
That was terrifying when they got raided.
This was brilliant watching your video, felt so sorry for you in there ,so brave, nice one Phil
I love beams and regional ceilings, looks lovely
Beautiful views
Well done Phil, congratulations, thanks for showing us what it's like to sleep in a priest hole.its been amazing i bet you was so glad to relax in the bath thanks for sharing
Did you say you heard foot steps 4am outside?
At the 5min mark, would that be your reflection of movement or Something else? Within that doorway there is definitely movement in the doorway so is there a reflective surface within that space?🤔. Love a good priest hole I do. Very informative video 👍 superb
You did not include the link to your 24-hour event in the hole.
fascinating
