Hello, I'm Ratha Sochenda. By trade I'm a Mechanical Engineer, but here on the channel I'll be sharing my DIY projects.
Because I like to design and make things, I start out my ideas in 3D CAD first to work out the details and then most of time will build it out of metal since I like fabrication.
I love to go fishing, camp off the grid, eat Southeast Asian foods, and spend time with my wife and kids.

Good job!
how mush $ ? can u make one for me ?
waooooo
I built almost the same shed for my shop underfloor vacuum system. The only diferencce was I used rdgid insutation in all the walls. Man what a difference. Great job on you and keep up the good work. Pete
the anti-wobble device is a game changer
Nice work kid👍🏻
Box your C iron on both sides, that should eliminate the deflection your getting. PS I'm very impressed with the things you are doing, engineering and fabricating. Keep it up, everything should pay off for you if it hasn't already.
I wonder maybe create a pad for the jacks to stand on and remove the wheels as security measure? If I wasn't in an HOA, I would get a trailer too, but I can always borrow one in exchange for a case of beer with buddies.
How much did your modifications reduce your load capacity.
Man, thievery goes hard where you are apparently
I’m in the process of moving my bender onto an engine stand and am I glad I watched this video! I was about to cut off the rotating part and just have a plate welded on to bend horizontal, but your idea makes so much more sense to have both options. Great job !
Hello. Great stuff. May I ask you what CAD program you used during this video?
офигеть, какой у них порядок на металлобазе... "загнивающий" запад, что тут скажешь...
Sure a nice job! That trailer should give you plenty of service.
well done ,
Do you know if they have safety locks for the big Tex utility trailers 6x10? If so, where can I purchase them from?
Stumbled upon this randomly, browsing the interwebs, had to come on here afterwards, to compliment your work. Trailer looks great, and i totally dig your "lets not drill into this brand new trailer" way of thinking. Fantastic work man 🙏
Great build - absolutely stealing your wooden wall build for our Karavan trailer.
Nice clean build 😊! GOOD JOB!!!
Very nice workmanship
Great job brother ! I would like to ask your opinon for other projects that I am working on. How can I keep in touch with you ?
id sleep on it afterwards
boss the length value in the table its length measure in sketch , How I can get the cut length not original length?
Enjoyed your video and learned a lot. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Great Video! This really helped me build a proper weldment. You mention in the video that the Solidworks file is available for download, but I only see the PDF. Is the Solidworks available somewhere?
Good job brother! I’m looking to get a 4X8 utility trailer and probably do some of these mods.
Had an idea, but I don't know if it would ever come in to play. Since the fingers are different widths, would maybe making the back guide slide side to side be a worthwhile upgrade? Can't think of a specific instance, but I haven't needed a finger brake yet.
Yeah I thought about that have it slide on linear guide rails. Left to right.
That's a great idea! I've been leaning toward a Roguefab bender because it can do the vertical orientation, but it's out of my price range at the moment for something I won't use alot. Combining this with the Woodward Fab clone from Amazon might get it in my range.
One can't install enough locks on a trailer or what is on the trailer. No lock is infallible, so it is better to layer with multiple locks. At least that will slow them down or maybe deter the thief from taking what is yours. It is definitely getting worse out there for people who have no morals.
Where can you buy and how much?
You can find it on my website rathasochenda.com/product/heavy-duty-universal-swingout-hinge-kit/
Do you have a suggestion for attaching a removable 3/4" plywood to RIGID brand saw horses that have 2x4's for support beams ?!
My trailer was stolen 😢
Sorry that happened
awesome video, ty!! quick question are you using 3/8 for the table grid ?
1/2

Love the wheels and color choices.
Thanks for the upgrades. I have an 8 foot trailer with a single tongue (like your boat trailer) rather than many V types. I have attached a hand crank cable winch to the tongue exactly like your boat trailer. This not only helps with loading, but after loading I use it to hold the tarp down.
I have a 10’ that is also a single tongue. Looking into the best place to attach a winch( help loading a mower etc. that won’t start). Did you weld it on or can it be bolted down. I can’t weld so I’m hoping to be able to bolt something down. Also did you attach yours to the tongue itself or to the trailer frame?
Great job. 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Rear screw-jack mod is unique ! Solid addition !
What is the diameter of the steel pipes used? What wall strength?
1.75 OD x 1/8 wall
Are the spacers necessary if the 2x4 vertical sits flush with the rail? I have a 5x8 Karavan same type but I don’t have that little gap with the rail.
No if you don’t have a gap
@@RathaSochenda I was considering using pressure treated plywood with U Bolts or the 6x10 board like you did. I think less wood would be better for weight. I'm not sure if I still need the 2x4 verticals, but they might help keep it sturdy. Otherwise, the top section will only be held by the U bolt at the bottom.
I can’t lie. Don’t like the look overall due to rainfall thoughts. But I don’t know too much for your area. You gave me a couple ideas for my dust collector. You could brand this concept mostly in same way for woodworkers. Many of the small nailers we own are battery now. Lol. Nice job. Ty

I love that your dealing with air compressor while using the battery powered nailer. I understand the dichotomy of it. Still funny
Excellent press brake. We shared this video (and the first two parts) on our homemade tools forum last week. 😎
Thanks hoped it help
Awesome design brother can design one for my 2006 humvee?
Thanks. I just did this for fun
Nice job😊seem like your a Tim Tayler modify it I like it

Store bought chocks, carabiners and bungees. Wow. I use 2 bricks.
🤘
Good job, nicely detailed this set up is perfectly explained 👌 definitely interested in building this.
Thanks 🙏🏽
Estate sale got mine for 100dollars needed some repair handy as a pocket on a shirt ❤
