MagicAce

I set up my KZread channel during the COVID -19 pandemic and all its restrictions.

You only realise how important the daily, sometimes apparently boring routine is, when you no longer have it, when you are isolated at home, when countries, cities, towns are shut down and international borders closed.

You have that desperate feeling to go home, to travel, see the world but you are not allowed to.
So I said to myself, once this is over, I want to share my travel experiences with potentially the entire world.
So I hope I will be able to do it and share it with the community.

    You left out so many great beaches it’s hard to know where to start. You didn’t mention that most of your choices are Harbour beaches with no surf, and many of them are crowded with moored boats making swimming difficult.

    Shelly beach was the best for me to swim,all other beaches like Bondi or Manly were dangerous due to high waves.

    Not a bad list -- would have added Freshwater rather than Manny -- Much nicer beach and just around the corner. Manly is way too packed. If you drop by our channel you can also see an aerial view of Curl Curl and Dee Why / Long reef

    A string of unlikely coincidences led me from my sleepy home town to be rent-sharing a home unit right on Freshwater Beach (as close as you could get to the bright lights of Manly without having to actually live in its little-bit ratrace. Great minds think alike, eh?) from 1983 to 1987. If I ever got tired of swimming (only because I did so much of it) I could mosey across the street to the Diggers club for a sauna and a delicious and cheap three-course meal. I knew full well at the time that I had chanced into Paradise and if it's possible to be homesick for a place you didn't grow up in, well, that pretty much describes my feelings today.

    I lived in Palm Beach in the 70's all the beaches, Whale, Avalon and the whole coastline is absolutely gorgeous. Back in the States and missing the beaches, we have nothing like Australia....not even close. I swam almost everyday even in the winter. Avalon has a build in Olympic size rock pool that is fantastic.

    Thanks for the lovely video. Beautiful city.... European cities are so decorated during holiday season that they look like fairytale lands.. While surprisingly Sydney city center did not gave any impression of Christmas anywhere except for one Christmas tree..that is a surprise. . Anyway, can you tell the name of the artist whose instrumental music was played in the background in most of the video. Very mesmerizing

    Thank you Misty Rose.. I am really happy that you enjoyed the video. Xmas in Europe is different, very different.. It is magic, in Sydney I don’t feel it.. The video was made during covid restrictions at that time no tourist were allowed to enter Australia. The music played in the background is from multiple artists.

    Good little video and it certainly guides locals to try some new beaches. For tourists though who maybe using this video as a guide, I would recommend you choose one of Sydney beautiful ocean beaches with clean sand, waves, foreshore walks, parks, playgrounds, surf lifesavers, amenities, food, etc. Manly Beach and Bronte Beach are two excellent choices, depending on which is closer for you.

  • @magicace_gold
    @magicace_gold Жыл бұрын

    Hi Terry, thank you for you opinion on the video..you’re are right, Mainly & Bronte are two of the most iconic beaches, but in our opinion far too crowded…We love more secluded beaches..at Mainly and Bronte,as well as Bondi and Coogee in peak season it’s even hard to find a spot to lay down..

  • @TerrysFilms

    @@magicace_gold Fair enough. Clearly everyone has their own opinion on the “Best Beach” and everyone chooses differently. If we all had the same answer, everyone in Sydney would use that one beach, then we’d really have some chaos!! 🤪😂
