my engine ticks only when cold, after about 3 minutes when the engine warms up the sound disappears. Do I also need to go through this procedure? and is it necessary to stand still or is it possible while driving at 3k rpm?
I think you need stay stopped, so you dont have any load on the engine.
I might have missed it, but are both of the trucks geared the same? I know out of the box the BL-2s Slash is geared higher the the stock Titan Slash.
My 128i in ds mode slaps. I'm on 22s and I blast down the back roads steering feels perfect
I wanna see a camera mounted on one of these bad boys
Never seen ur channel but i sibscribe immediately why? Because of the track. If u can do subjective and objective reviews like maybe track times every car u test that can be objective i will stay subscribed, no ones does that think about it!!!
Thanks for the comment! We'll look into this.
the berm is dope
Cool vid mate👍🏻, awesome track and like the lights on the cars for night/dark driving! Subbed
Thanks!
OH If I lived closer I would be here too often
Whoever is driving that Green Slash is a MASTER at the esses!
No doubt. Beastmode!
Great video! Loser
"I'm going to compare this to some other cars with a 10k budget." *Proceeds to list out not a SINGLE car for 10k or less*
Rwd, manual under 10k. Name them all......there really aren't many.
I think I’m in love😍 sounds beautiful
Dude, not trying to talk shit, or dump on you but, 1. how do you think that your car is making close to the same amount of downforce as the viper? 2. Does your bud with the ACR have as much seat time, track time as you? Don't get me wrong, sounds like you did your homework on your car but, seems like you need a bit more Aero work time. you did not go into how you set up your wing. HIGHT, WIDTH, ANGLE OF ATTACK, TYPE OF SANCTIONS, END PLATE DESIGN, ETC.. Also, the rear bumper idea is an alright idea but, I bet your wing will work MUCH better if you install a diffuser back there. Keep up the good work.
1. Acceleration and braking are almost identical, and I'm on smaller tires, so downforce must be close or maybe I have even more. 2. Viper guy is an amexcellent driver with much more experience than I. 3. The wing is the most predictable aero device as there are actual df numbers on it. Should be around 500lbs of downforce at 140mph. A diffuser is almost useless unless it has a flat floor leading up to it.
Love it!!!!!
Thanks for the video. With all the time and money you put into the 128 makes me wonder why you didnt start with a 135 or 335.
Double the price, and I wanted NA reliability.
My g35 Would dust this cool car though
Stock the g35 is 0.2 seconds faster. Considering it has 60 more hp, idk abt dusting... but you do you 👍
What's it weigh? Great video
13lbs
This thing moves for what it is! I have a stock auto 97 m3 and this is definitely quicker. What’s done to it and how much you think it’s pushing? Need to mod mine right after I manual swap it!
It makes 252whp on a mustang dyno. Does pretty well. I have multiple build videos on it. Very underrated car.
I’d love to see an Evo successful in GLTC but definitely respect the lift to get there.
Perfect timing changing my coils
Good video and great to see someone considering bump to droop ratio when setting up coilovers as this is rarely ever considered usually. Personally I aim for 2/3 bump and 1/3 droop travel which is a generally more accepted ratio for track work. Also worth noting that once you've set this ratio you should only really alter ride height via the spring perch rather than the lower shock body as doing this will alter the bump/droop ratio again. Suspension secrets have a very good article about this on their website that is worth a read.
Ride height should be adjusted on the lower perch, but yes, it will change the bump stop limit. Could be changed on the spring perch as well, but that changes your bump/droop ratio. All needs to be considered when making changes.
@@KrebsbachRacing so the way I do it is to figure out my ride height first, mark on the damper rod where the 2/3 total bump travel is then with the spring removed set that mark to the top of the coilover body with the hub jacked to the desired ride height. Then refit the spring and adjust to the desired ride height using the spring perch only. This gets me back to the desired ride height whilst maintaining the exact bump/droop ratio I wanted. Obviously this falls down if the desired ratio doesn't give enough wheel / bumpstop clearence when compressed, but luckily I've not had that yet
Solid video Shawn. Knowledge I needed to learn
Didn't know I needed this knowledge, then I watched this video. 💯
Hey Krebsbach Racing, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel
This thing will be a ripper. Any updates on the 128?
Thanks! 128i coming soon!
I need one!!
Sick
Please tell me that you are going to shorten the handbrake line to remove the high loop section?
Great color!
It's not green, but still looks good. Haha
Sick track your mate have there🫡
압력확인을 안한채 수지를 넣어버렸군요
Love the build! Keep up the good work!
Any update on the Evo making it on track this year?
It will for sure be at UMI King of the mountain.
Shuffle Steer some of those turns....im not a racer, but we learned that from a racer for pursuit driving. Really works....saves your endurance. Smooth is fast.
1. Airtabs are sold in the US for $2.75 each. A set of 80, enough to go the trailer with spares, is $220. You paid too much. If you do the math, a .6mpg improvement works out to 5.6% which is NOT negligible. It's greater than advertised.
i love this car and you videos
Thanks!
I am debating between an before 2001 Z3 M roadster and a 128i. Pretty much the same horsepower, roaster is lighter, but the 128i is way more usable. What would you guys recommend?
Slow
As a miata owner, this car is next on my list...
What was the milage when you bought the car and then installed those mods? Im thinking about buying one vs a genesis coupe
No before and after, but it gets about 25mpg on the highway.
@@KrebsbachRacing No sorry im asking how much miles/kilometres were on the 128 when you bought it and started to mod it? Im debating on buying one but some are 100K-150Kkms some are 200k+ kms id like to add similar mods that you installed
@@RXS999 mine had 125,000 miles on it when I bought it. Have only put on a few thousand miles.
@@KrebsbachRacing Thank you that's reassuring
maybe I missed it, but what tires were used?
225/45/17 kumho v730
@@KrebsbachRacing seems like a solid all rounder 200tw
Hello 👋 Nice Video! Where Do People Buy The Battery & Charger For This Truck? Seems RTR Should Come With That, Thanks! 😎
Very cool video! I got mine from TM Auto Sports, too! Ill check out lawn legends. Do you know if there are more tracks open to the public in the FM area? Thanks!
Hey man I recently have acquired a 135i stick and was wondering about shifting I see him shift at the redline but while learning to drive it my mom tought me to shift it around 2000rpms any suggestions or explanations?
Shifting at 2k is for economical driving…shift at redline to pick up speed
I miss my e90 330i, also had the N52 engine and can confirm.. so, so goooood
I had a 330xi manual when lived in Colorado. Funnest car I’ve ever owned. It would outrun cops on the mountains more often than I’m proud to admit.
So what happened to it? Bored of it? Or did it break in a very expensive way?
I prefer those sides also but with a 245 on 9-9.5 you stretch the sidewall which preloads them more so less flex during cornering. I like 255-265 on 9.5" wheel for more contect patch though
Nice! What did you make the banked turn out of
Trial and error with 2x4s and plywood.
Saw the 1er on Built for Backroads. Those flares are so rad.
💪🏽💪🏽
What size wheels did you go with? Beautiful 1 series!
These are 17x8 +30 with 225/40/17 kumho v730
What’s the exhaust set up? I have a 128i as well, I love your build
Straight pipe with only a vibrant ultra quiet resonator. It's wayy too loud, but I like the sound it produces.
