I have used desktop simulators since 2002 and they're a fantastic tool to supplement flight training.

A320 driver has done some tutorials for the pmdg 777, apparently he was a beta tester. He mentions that there are some differences in the FMC from 737 etc especially when trying to set the spped constraints. Hope it explains it

can you talk about enroute alternate airport planning and procedures?
When it comes to non ETOPS operations/non oceanic flying in Europe no en-route alternates are required if you use a contingency of 5%, so long as there are adequate airports within 1 hours flight time If you do have an ERA planning minima required for ERA is dependent on the type of approach available (Type A/B), the cloud base and RVR/VIS must be higher than the minima required. (eg Type B = DA/H +200ft and RVR/VIS +800m). FD2S

The DEP/ARR stuff is also different in the 757/767 than the 737, AFAIK. I actually had trouble finding the other screen until I learned about hitting INDEX (awhile ago now so I don’t remember the specifics anymore). I think it behaves slightly differently before you enter the first departure airport?
I think that engine sounds at cockpit a bit too loud.
When using pounds as the unit, reserve fuel is entered in the FMC in thousands of pounds, not tons, correct? So 2,500 pounds would be 2.5?

Hi FD2S! In 29:14 You were explaining an interesting question about amount of thrust which is used during takeoff and climb. Could you tell us more about fuel efficency procedures? The one with adding thrust while on climb was quite surprising. I thought that pilots add thrust due to separation only. Maybe in another video? Cheers <<3
I'm looking forward to you getting your hands on the Boeing 707-320C which should be the Local Legends release for MSFS in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully it will be at least as good as their A310.
Haven’t been able to complete a single flight with this addon, issues upon issues every single time for me. Doing 13 hour flights just to not be able to land because the damn FMC decides to freeze all the systems

You could run off the APU, right? Surprising amount of instrumentation you get to keep on battery. Does the autopilot work, or just the MCP is illuminated?
Absolutely, you’d want to start it straight away (depletes a large amount of battery but you really want to restore a source of AC power). No A/P but MCP works. FD2S
I tried 9 flights and only in one, I succeeded in taking off and landing after a 3-hour flight. 8 flights after the preparations without warning, it started to freeze the screen for about 10 sec then 20 to 30 sec without problems and then again froze this continued till the moment I decided to drop it and start new. I Google it and a few more people have the same problem with the freezing screen
