Tech & Social Media Economics
My name is Hari this channel is centered around explaining the economics of tech and social media. These sectors are generally analyzed through the lenses of finance and economics to determine which industries and companies will thrive and which will fall. In addition to this analysis, my content is often focused on the stories of various famous entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, and Jeff Bezos. I also cover the rise and fall of several interesting companies and services that we come across on a day-to-day basis. There have been so many companies that have risen to fame and then died out in a single generation. The most interesting companies are the ones that were able to save themselves and avoid bankruptcy. Feel free to subscribe if you would like to see any of these topics Logically Answered. Also special thanks to my editors flick5832 and imrikon (Discord)!

Also worth mentioning is Corsair's refusal to adapt. When it came to mechanical keyboards, they didn't adapt to the desires of the enthusiast (60% layout, thoccy switches, optical/Hall effect switches, etc.). They also refused to make proper lightweight, wireless, performance gaming mice. Corsair has more bricks than a Nike outlet. That allowed Razer and Logitech to become the premier brands for performance, esports-grade mice. Even their cases failed to catch onto the minimalist and fish tank trends set by NZXT and Lian Li. And they are facing stiffer competition in the power supply space from new/existing brands, like MSI and EVGA. If the rumors of them buying Fanatec, a company which itself is famous for it's terrible customer service and mid products, are true, Corsair will put the final nail in their coffin.

The great thing about American credit cards is they escape the interchange fee cap in Europe since EU law doesn’t apply to US issued cards by US banks . So I get to use my benefits here, while Europeans can’t

Haven't bought anything from Asus since 2013, that particular MBO was resetting often the RAM timings/profile and of course Asus didn't care to fix that since was just a Prime MBO. The last good MBO from Asus I had, was a WS X38 back in 2008 or so. From my point of view the decrease in their quality is older than a decade not just few years. Now days Asus on their MBO was slapping old sound codecs or have RAM issues at triple the price compared to other manufacturers so I just excluded Asus out of my searching. I didn't "dare to game".

How important Philips was is shown by repairability ranks: the rating for how easy something can be open goes from "everything is glued" over "proprietary screws are used" to "Philips screws are used". This says a lot.

Companies selling their branding rights to other companies is actually kind of scary. You can't even trust if a product will get good support, or heck good quality through their reputation anymore.

Asus would never do that, cuz The Asus Ally is the best!! Fanboys creep me out, cuz their like abused Wives! They just keep coming back for more and defending their spouse (Asus) to boot, cuz their already in bed with them!! Get a clue people!

Actually not stagnation is the killer. Growth is the global killer. Unlimited growth in within a limited system will kill the system at the end no matter what. Adapted growth is ok same as adapted stagnation. But forced growth for the sake of growth is pure evil.

This is actually a good move. They are in a very sweet spot today. Healthcare equipment market is highly price insensitive, has very few players, deals with highly educated non-fickle people like doctors, relies on trust factor among highly insecure people like patients who will hold onto every bit of trustworthiness like it's their last day of life (literally). What could be better for sustained profitable business for centuries?

A Prius is not an ev. It’s a hybrid. An ev is solely powered by electricity. A hybrid is solely powered by gasoline and happens to capture some electricity generated by breaking.

BEVs are not the future. They are a dead end. BEVs will not be viable for mass adoption until a universal stacking swappable battery standard is agreed upon by all automakers or governments mandate it. Charging is a dead end. Swapping is the future.

I had an interesting experiance about 30 years ago. I was traveling to the US on KLM. I was sitting next to a very tall wonderfully eccentric lady in her early 70s. She was quite a character and drank a lot of wine. I discovered through our long conversation that she was a Philips Heiress. She was taking a few friends on a visit to the states. When I asked her why she was not in first class/business class she said she wanted to be with her friends so they could all chat. What a down to earth lady. She fell asleep with bread crumbs all over her and half a 2nd bottle of red wine and snored. I would have loved to have spent more time with her and heard more of her interesting life. I often think of her and how unpretentious she was. Regards from South Africa

They used to be known as reliable now they aren't it's that simple for example I used a VW LT35 for work & it's near bullet proof nearly doing 300k miles & still going strong whist their new vans similar size to mine have a 1,2L golf engine whist mine has a 2,4L engine & I've seen some of these vans in the garage with major issues at only 10k miles. This is why I I'll never buy a new van off VW since it won't last me a year. It has nothing to with emissions the only reason people "cared" was it was a way to get free monies. Also they played the EV gamble & lost even though it wasn't a gamble more like a self deletion since they've always struggled to produce a car that customers WANT since 2016 tacking on useless things to "make it different from the last product" which customers DO NOT WANT.

As usual, at the centre of all problems: greed. Why would one car company need to own so many others, they all produce similar models and then sell to the same customers? How does that make any business sense? It's understandable that they bought Bugatti and Bentley. But why buy Skoda, Seat, Audi, etc.?

the idea of planned obsolescent in light bulb is n't completely true, the companies preferred efficiency over its lifespan, if you under power any light bulb it will last longer (Also depends upon the power cut off as this put the tungsten wire under pressure of expansion and contraction due to warming and cooling of the wire) here is the scientific explanations kzread.info/dash/bejne/nGmqmqZmkc-ne6g.html

Hi LA, Lately the topics on your videos have not been hot like they were before. Topics about Philips, Volkswagen, Intel, and Corsair are not as interesting. Cool videos are the ones that are thought provoking and not noticed by the masses. The one about Peter Thiel was cool, Zuckerberg on Ads, BeReal, Japan’s 34 year drift and Michael Dell’s networth was really cool. In your videos, I learned about stuff either I did not know or things that I knew that other people did not noticed, like how Peter Thiel is really smart but actually lazy. I came up with this thought after listening to numerous interviews by him and reading several books. You are the only person who I know even talked about this. Anyways, I am a big fan of this channel and thought I speak up. Please stay focused and pay attention to interesting and thought provoking topics. Appreciate you guys!
