I'm going to complement the fella in this video. First, understand that I have trained and certified over 1,000 golf pros, many of them I certified as Master Teaching Professionals. I've been at this a long time, giving my first lesson in 1976. I also carried a +4 handicap, had three course records, won numerous college tournaments, set several conference records that had stood for decades, and won to open tournaments as an amateur before I had to quit golf due to a bad back. I just said all of that so you could understand that I am well versed in teaching and playing golf. Now for the fella in this video. Did you notice that he didn't give you any grand promises such as, "It will take 20 strokes off your handicap", or "you'll add 50 yards to your drives," or "you will never hit a bad shot again," etc. You've seen teachers who say those things enough that you have probably lost all respect for them. When I train teachers, I always discourage them from saying those kinds of things. The reason is that they are promising things they cannot promise honestly. They will lose credibility. They are being dishonest to make more money. They are confusing as many golfers as watch their video. I would tell all golfers to stay away from teachers who make those promises. I'll add though, that those teachers serve to bring me more students because golfers don't like being confused and I unconfuse them. Kudos to this fella for having enough respect for the game and his fellow man that he didn't do the things those other scammers do. Now, the fella in the video also demonstrates the golf swing instead of just talking about it. Secondarily, he has a very solid golf swing. If a teacher doesn't have a very good golf swing (as this fella does) yet tells you he/she can make you have an excellent swing, you should be skeptical immediately. In summary, even though this fella is a competitor of mine, since he gives golf lessons, I recommend him as a teacher that you can have confidence in because he is doing it right. Lastly, I want you to know that I have never met this man, I am not a friend of his, and I am not related to him, so I have no reason to try and help him that isn't above board. Because I have done this for so long, I can spot the good ones quickly and accurately. This fella is a good teacher, who I believe is going to help many golfers who will trust what he tells them to do. Since I haven't looked up his name, I'll just say this; Congrats, sir, for being a true representation of what a teacher should be, at least as far as I have witnessed from this video you created...that is the only video I have ever seen of your work.

I’ve seen and heard from so many sources about how important the ground forces are in a good golf swing, but this is the first time someone actually conveyed it in a way I could understand. Pete’s swing is so sequential and building that he almost looks like he is swinging in slow motion yet he hits the ball as far as anyone.

My best swing tip ever is to pull your trail side scapula towards your spine for your backswing; and then pull your lead scapula back towards your spine for your downswing. That’s it that’s the golf swing. Cheers.😊🥂👍

The easier and better way for average golfers to get a 3/5 wood in the air is to change their shaft. These days shafts are more like the Pros use (stiff and mid kick point) and they do not have enough 'whip' and a low kick point needed by the average golfer. If you are average and 'normal' swing speed then change the shaft - that will make an immediate difference. IMO forget trying to hit it with a perfect swing - just make it easier by changing the shaft. Also, the ball can make a difference too, because most good balls these days are designed for high speed swings - switch to a softer ball and that will help too.

Accidentally stumbled onto your channel and was going to switch off! I was a fan of your stuff but stopped watching when you became a bit like Rick Shiels who again I originally liked until his content merely became clickbait and lacked integrity. Anyway liked the video and found it helpful but I do find I’m prone to the occasional top.

Most golfers should ditch their 3 woods as we don't generate enough club head speed to hit them effectively. I ditched mine and go 5 wood hybrid. I hit my 5 wood farther than my 3 anyway.

I wonder if I need a shaft change. I can hammer my 19° 5w about 235. It has a Tensei AV Blue shaft. My 15° 3w maybe gets to 245 but the strikes are inconsistent and so is the ball flight. It has a Fujikura Ventus shaft.

Great tip, don't think you can go wrong with this, the tempo he had in doing the drill was syrupy smooth. On a different tangent, does any one else think his left hand grip is quite strong, he has, I think a body release, rather than a handsy flippy release. Maybe I need to try this? Hmmm.

After years of ups and downs in getting down to 5 hcp realised everyone lower than me at my club learnt as weak kids, unfortunately most golfers learn as strong men! they start the swing with their arms focussing on hitting at the ball out of aggression or anxiety, then atempt some sort of turn You have to feel the arms/butt of club move last as your right side spirals up and then move left away from arms as left side spirals up you have to move away from the club both ways, but have the confidence the club will catch up at impact! Easy to say hard to do But Nobody ever practices Golf related coordination skills to give them confidence to achieve this Every Good Golfer that Ever Lived can Bounce a Ball on a Wedge! it took me 6 weeks!

This best be good I was just on the way out to practice another swing tip lol 😂 all these swing tips Other one from some Southern hem dude saying low hands and training drill obstacle in the way so you got up go under low . I knew it was keep low from sweet previous strikes of the ball . It’s not really talked about that swing top that much Great video Pete it’s actually another piece of the puzzle 🧩 and them hands were low on the correct side of that line . Both videos complemented each other . Will bring this to my practice all good nice one 😊
