Love Dakota Red. If I didn’t already have two Jazzmasters I’d get one. 😂 29:52 The string breaking solution is very simple, there’s two good solutions but you can do just one. 1- when you put the high E string ball end in, turn it sideways so it’s like - against the body, not like | against it. This will prevent the string from breaking. 2- use some Mitchell’s abrasive cord to smooth the hole where the string exits. That’s it. Permanent. The cause is simple: Fender doesn’t smooth the holes enough after drilling and so burrs remain. Not always, but frequently. 26:16 loctite is a necessity in my experience. Low strength 222, purple stuff. All twelve saddle screws and possibly the two bridge post screws. One application will last many many years. 25:45 I love the stock AV bridge and vibrato. I use 13-56 strings tuned in C# standard and have zero issues. We must keep in mind that when the Jazzmaster was designed it was 13-54 strings that were used and so there were no problems until people started going to ultra light strings.

just listening to the difference the round core strings give more distinction to each string, i can hear the separate voicings clearer from each string. the modern strings sounded ambient and blended. i could really feel that minor 7th articulated. its almost like compression to a degree. maybe less warble on the strings, i dunno the exact science behind it. but im going with vintage from here on out.

Really on the ropes about whether to purchase this amp or not I am truly curious about build quality and dependability. The sound is absolutely fabulous. It sounds like the touch sensitivity is pretty good as well and certainly the amp is more than versatile. Great vintage tones. great playing truly wonderful demo however I would love to hear your opinion about the custom transformers and the actual build construction are the jacks attached to the PCV or are they separate some simple things like that just to make sure of the quality of the amp I want something that can be serviced to last for years not for two or three thanks 7:20

C sounded far better sound and the sound varied slightly which is a dead giveaway that it was a tube. I play a Tiny Terror amp which is a little more modern but still a classic tone with an Orange 60-watt cab back-to-back to a Quilter Mach 3 and you can definitely hear the difference. I will admit though the Quilter has a great sound and I played with the idea of getting one but for 1/2 the price the TT with a good cab is better to my ears.

These guitars just need bigger strings and lower ohm pots. You can also put a shim under that neck if you need more down pressure on the bridge. That rhythm circuit originally AUTOMATICALLY went to a bassier tonality. There's hardly any difference between the lead and rhythm circuits on these guitars. And all of these tones you are using depends on how you EQ your amp. Roll off some of that treble and you will get a sweeter sound.
@GuyNarnarian12 күн бұрын
Made decent arguments. I think my bridge has the option. I can see how it would be slinkier. Feel like you could get some string slippage at the saddle though depending on what you have and what tuning you use, etc. I drop my Tele or open tune a lot just because hardtails are always easier for that.
