Hi from 2024 I'm potentially interested. Other that Heroclix, I have little to no exp with tabletop games, or Pen and Paper Rpgs. But I'm coming in from the model customization side (which I am also a beginner) so i have a few questions: - about models when the number is higher - say 1 / 100 scale - isn't that physically smaller than something in say a 1/72 scale? - whats the diameter of the largest base available for this game? - is there a height/size limit to the models we can use? for as long as we can fit them into the bases?
@ScruffyCrow20 күн бұрын
Not looked in the book for a while but the scales are not really important more the model base size. Even the base sizes are not super important as long as you have 3 diffrent ones such as my examples of 50mm, 100mm and 150mm.

I don't know why people use PVA glue for basing on plastic , it just doesn't bond to it at all . Just sits there as a film once it's dried

Some do certainly but you can either try to find a PVA that sticks better or just scratch up the surface of the base a bit. Do you prefer basing/tacky glue or something else?

Nice Salute loot! I restrained myself a bit this year, my big (literally) purchase was 3 giants from TT Combat's Max Mini resin range - I nearly went all in on the giant army box which would have been 6 giants and 3 behemoths (an amazing deal), but I settled on the 'smaller' box of 3. Other than some Black Scorpion men-at -arms those were the only figures I got. I did pick up some Renedra scenery and a few assorted paints as well, but not a huge haul compared to last year. The show itself was good, although as you noted there weren't as many visually spectacular games on display. It certainly felt busier than last year, I'm pretty sure I missed a whole bunch on my various circuits before I ran out of my allotted fun time and had to return to my chores!
