Keith Ferrin - Your Bible Coach

Keith Ferrin - Your Bible Coach

If you're a NEW (or inconsistent) Bible reader, I'm here to help you read, study, understand, apply, and ENJOY the Bible.

For SO MANY people, reading the Bible is more of a "should" than a "want." If you can relate, you're in the right place! People get coaches for fitness, finances, life, relationships.

What about a coach for the Bible? (That's where I come in.)

I'm an author, speaker, and word-for-word biblical storyteller. I also spent the first 25 years of my relationship with Jesus feeling like I "should" read, study, and know the Bible more.

That all changed in the mid-90's. Since then, I have recorded videos, written books, launched courses, and spoken at over at 1,000 live events. And I have ONE GOAL...

My mission is to help individuals, families, and entire church communities learn to read, study, and ENJOY God's Word.

Let's get started helping YOU move from "should" to "want" when it comes to the Bible!

Alongside,
Keith (Your Bible Coach)

    I listen to Blue letter audio bible through the old testament because of all the peoples names and place names I can't pronounce. I am going to read through the bible in 6 months as soon as I get through reading it through in a year. My church is using the Bible Pathway devotional books this year.

    This Bible looks fascinating! I had to laugh about the comments on Leviticus and how this Bible makes it less tedious. I read it so many times I finally started visualizing things more. I cannot imagine what it would be like to have the charts and diagrams and even maps right there! Does this printing have less ghosting than the first one? It's the only thing that concerns me before buying it.

    Hey Keith, lol, you scared me when I got your email that you made a mistake. I thought, no you didn’t. I loved the initial interview. Caught my attention immediately and bought the Readable Bible. I enjoyed this video. You do a great job demonstrating your messages in all your videos. Thank you for doing this. Again, I’m new to studying the Word and sort of stuck right now so I haven’t been heavy in the Readable Bible but for what I have used it for, I’m enjoying it. I’ve been given bibles but I have to say, this is my first bible I have bought for myself. I’m just still amazed by what Rod accomplished, along side Brendan. And just the knowledge that pastors carry about Jesus and the Bible. Thank you again!

    Hi Keith, quick question. Should I read the whole bible before beginning to study it? I was thinking of doing your 4 month plan that starts with the gospels and acts and then doing your 4 month chronological plan and then going ahead and diving into bible studying.

  • @keithferrin
    @keithferrin19 сағат бұрын

    That 4-month plan (laid out in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mIKq29usabibfLg.html) is definitely where I would recommend you start. After that, I think EITHER doing a chronological read thru (where it puts the Bible in the order the events happen) OR doing a short book (like Ephesians, II Timothy, or Philippians) would be what I would do next.

  • @keithferrin
    @keithferrin7 күн бұрын

    Great question! Yes...and no. I would START by reading it prayerfully on your own. After you've read the passage several times (maybe even over several days), then it is definitely helpful to read the notes in your study Bible. I think of it like talking to a friend about what I'm reading. The discussion will be very beneficial, but if I ONLY hear what my friend says, I'll miss my conversation with God!

    Why can not ChatGBT provide me any scriptural proof to support the change from the Sabbath kept by Jesus and Paul all through Acts to the day we go to church? All it says is the change came about as decided by church councils that were later adopted some 200 years after Paul.....Was ChatGBT designed by the Jews???

    Glad to see a video on Life Verses. A church I attended before I moved to my current location encouraged us to identify a Life Verse. I was about to retire in my mid-60’s and my body was beginning to “feel” the aging process, so I chose the following Life Verses, which are helping me finish the race strongly. I’m almost 79 now, and these verses have served me well. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV)

    I have two life verses. #1 "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14 KJV Since the Apostle Paul is the apostle for us Gentiles (Rom. 11:13) and that is what he said he is doing, then, it only makes sense that I should be doing that also. It has taken me years to actually find out what this verse meant. I after I understood what it meant it lead me to my secone life verse.. "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21 KJV My understanding is that is our Heavenly Fathers goal for all of His children. Christ-likenss is God's goal for every saint.

    My life verse is Deuteronomy 29:29 KJV The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. At I time when I was struggling with doubt and uncertainty, this verse let me know that I am not meant to be certain about or know everything. God decides what He will reveal. He will show me what is needful in His timing, even if He does not intend to reveal certain things to me until I meet with Him in heaven. I am learning to trust Him even when I don’t understand why certain things are happening-now that is faith! And I am thankful for the gift of faith that God has so graciously given me.
