Building Everything In Miniature
I have been building models since I was a kid. I mostly build armor models, but I also branch off to everything from aircraft, trains, and tabletop gaming. If you can build it, paint it, and put it on a base, I want to try it.
I enjoy building dioramas, scratch building, and using my resin 3D printer to make my builds come to life.
I hope to take you along, and hopefully inspire you to try different aspects of this amazing hobby. I'm always learning, growing, and trying new techniques to improve my skills. I would never claim to be an expert, I just want to have fun, show my work and process to the community, and continue to learn.

This is really good man!
Honestly considering buying the little toy robot and making my own RC tank with cardboard
love that idea!
Nice one 🎉 For the trench it’s globally what I should have to do on my diorama (you can see it on my channel): more variants of woods and not a pre build plastic one. I think I will make it again in the future. Again good job!
I contemplated using the supplied kit trench but I agree there wasn't enough variation. Yours still looks great though. Awesome job
@@mattockmodels thanks 😊
I hope we get to see them all again one day, awesome build. Cheers.
Epic
Yeah, life can be a real downer at times but glad you are feeling perkier now. Great job, really love the effects and the simplicity of the staging. I would also enjoy watching a ship build if ever you decide to showcase one on your channel.
Thank you so much! I have a fun idea for the ship build so I think you'll see some of what I've been working on for sure.
Ever done any Mad Max inspired builds? I would love to see your take on something like that!
Hmm... that could be very interesting actually!
Cool I love flame affects 😮
Fantastic build. Sorry about your dog and the burnout. Do you sell your 3D files by any chance?
Thank you so much. I have an Etsy store with the track link .Stl for sale
Impressive.
Sorry about the dog. Great build, my grandfather worked during the war at Vauxhall helping to build Churchill tanks.
Thanks so much. They really are an amazing machine!
Wow- that's cool as heck!
And also sorry for your loss...
Great idea and very good execution as well! Glad to see you here again!
Thank you so much! glad you liked it.
That looked really good never seen any of your work before 👍
Thanks for checking it out!
Great video, good talking. Don’t burn down dude. You are great builder i will be waiting for other video for inspiration and try learn something new :)
That really means a lot. The response has been really great for this one, given me a new burst of energy to keep going. Thanks for the support.
Absolutly stunning to look at, great work.
Thanks!
Amazing effect. Beautifully done.
You did an amazing job 👍👍
I really think this diorama came out cool!!! Well done 😊😊😊
Thanks so much!
@@mattockmodels you are welcome 🤗
Nice work.
U back
Wow!❤
Nicely done 👍
Great to see you back mate! I am currently building the Churchill AVRE and this kit looks pretty fun. Can’t wait to watch this (as I am doing something right now) but you certainly did not disappoint with your comeback :)
Thanks! Good to be back!
Where can I get the STL files as I'd like this on my desk....
Great video's so far for the M1 but can't find the video for the stowage.....?
studio.kzread.info5yngs1SsQIk/edit That should be it. If not it's in the playlist titled "finishing up Abrams stowage..."
No Part 2 after 1 year? Well, that sucks...that's what I was looking forward to the most. I get to this point and have trouble really selling it with realism. Although, I did learn to use my own black & brown oil paint washes from this video. That should help.
The playlist has all 8 episodes for that build. You can find the on my channel page.
Which printer did you use? Ie filament or resin
I use resin for scale model details like this. I have an old elegoo mars 2 and it still works great!
Honestly mate thank you 🙏 I’ve been scratching my head over this sort of problem 😂
MORE!
Soon!
Great stuff , i would like to see other tank tracks such as Panzer I to IV , btw which printer do you use and how large your build plate is ? mine is Anycubic Photon M3 7.6
I have the Elegoo mars pro. Works great still. Replaced the screen once. Probably upgrade in a year or so for better resolution.
I have a Tamiya 1/35 Kampfpanzer Leopard that had its tracks warped and deformed, and I decided to make a whole new pair of tracks for it. My question, is it possible to 3D print the entire belt or I have to print individual links because the material doesn't have the flexibility to bend the belt?
I've done both actually, Its possible to connect them the slicing software but there's no guarantee that the will bond with each other and might not line up correctly. So what I do is upload them to tinkercad and line them up that way and link them. then I just use the individual links for the bends and sag. Hope that helps!
@@mattockmodels Ah, alright. I don't actually have a 3D printer at home, so I thought about going to a 3D printing service.
@@y5fireflyschannel384 You could also try finding a local maker space that has one.
Great video and the results are excellent !!! Thanks for sharing !!
How to make axis in the model?
Cool weathering.
Incredible work
Great looking diorama! Very creative and realistic. I wish I had a quarter of your talent and I'd be at least " decent "
Your too kind. It's all just meant to be fun! Thanks so much for watching.
The best model trees I've seen!
That means a lot, thank you!. It also took forever!🤣
Great stuff!!
Hi, Great work, can i ask what colours you used for the red brickwork?
Mostly vallejo rust tones actually
@mattockmodels to be honest I'm more curious what you used for the sand colour bricks
@@malcolmpaterson5881 Vallejo Iraqi sand I believe.
32mm?
1/35
Im really struggling with warped parts... what settings do you use?
Make sure you have enough supports and you angle the print so that the print lines don't run in the same orientation as the longest part, for example if you print a shovel, don't print it as though it is laying flat across the print bed, angle it at a 45 degree angle. Also after the print is cleaned in isopropyl alcohol make sure it has fully dried before curing. Hope that helps, good luck.
Excellent.
Great Diorama, I love it!
Got a quick question what did you use for your scribing of your panel lines as a guide? That's what I struggle with all the time.
Yeah I had a hard time with it as well. I started with a metal ruler and then decided to use the raised lines as a guide and just eyeballed it. It got easier with practice but overall it wasn't tons of fun. Hope that's helpful, good luck!
nicely done I'm just starting this A10 next week same one and I think you're color scheme is good I don't like the camouflage scheme
This was really helpful! I couldn't wrap my head around how to do the complex shapes but this makes that thought process much easier. It would be interesting to understand how you make those decisions. Excellent video!
I have been collecting 1/35 tanks for kitbashing into my ork army, I actually have been painting them yellow with a bit of red.
I like how it’s actually a stylized Russian ww2 self propelled gun
