How To Paint Realistic Stone And Brick Walls
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I take carved foam and paint and weather it to look like a real stone and brick wall for my Battle of France diorama. Check out the other videos in the series to see how I got to this point and stay tuned for more.

Thanks! I still want to weather it up a little more but I want to see the tank with some paint on it first to see what direction I need to go in.
Amazing!
👌🙂
No Part 2 after 1 year? Well, that sucks...that's what I was looking forward to the most. I get to this point and have trouble really selling it with realism. Although, I did learn to use my own black & brown oil paint washes from this video. That should help.

The playlist has all 8 episodes for that build. You can find the on my channel page.
Fantastically done 👍 I will use your video when creating my next diorama (if I will ever be able to finish my current one 😄)

Yes! One step at a time, you'll get there! Thanks for watching.
Very helpful! I am using a different color scheme, so hopefully I can pull it off

These bricks came out a little over saturated, so don't worry if the colors aren't the same, I'd change them now too! Good luck.
Super job, thanks so much for this 🙂

This is cool! I am not actually making any kind of diorama but I have an idea for a paintings series and wanted to get a rough idea of how to paint a semi-realistic brick or stone wall. Your video was the first one and it had both! 😂 I am not sure if I will be able to use your techniques as a canvas (or the canvases I want to make this series on) are a lot bigger but this definitely gave me a good place to start, thanks! One question, you say that your washes used to distress and age the bricks/stone are watered down oil paint? Were all the paints used here oils?

Oh that's awesome! All of the stone and bricks were base coated in acrylics, and the washes are enamel I believe. I also use wet blending with acrylics to achieve a more natural look. Hope that helps and good luck with your project!
Verry nice work... Can you list the colors of the stone work? They are nice...
