The pause she made when he said he is thinking to leave
People with alexithymia are prone to do this because they have no awareness at all of what is going on inside of them.
one hell of a good professor
It's all well and good if they are a high functioning client, where other things are going well for them, i don't know how well this would work with major depressed clients who are low functioning?
Most interesting and helpful. Thanks
what's up w/ you aussies and your ridiculous overuse of the word "yeah"? maybe you should talk to a therapist about it😂
wow, the "yeah, ok, alright" meter was off the charts! it would drive me up the wall to have a therapist that was so oblivious to her repetitive unconscious responses
It is discomforting viewing a role play that is blaming a woman, 'who is crazy' with zero male accountability, and he is using "the kiddies" as the excuse. Domestic Violence is mainly perpetrated by men. So it is important, especially in training to demonstrate the actual scenarios that DV is serious for women's survival and safety. Showing a video that suggests DV by women to a man, is concerning. Our community is struggling with increasing violence and control of our women. Women continuously have to challenge old-fashioned attitudes of blaming women. (This video is no help to women) THE TRUE ISSUE IS THAT WOMEN NEED TO BE SEEN AS SOME WOMEN ARE NOT SAFE.
The therapist was incredible, the paraphrasing was not simply mirroring what has been said but has also reflected client's feeling which is so important. the best video of person centred approach on youtube for me.
I don't do evil but IT says he gotten envelopes and what a great discharge 10 pint liters 10 pints order po'or 10 🎉pains 10 10 10 from sherrylynnjackson.😅😅😅
Opinion stress order fix it depression it answered have a swell.😅
I have a solution, throw some shrimp on the barbie and open up a cold Foster's lager! Gday mates!
So informative. Thank you
I project with ❤️ and transfer with ❤️.
Não entendi, a terapeuta apenas espelhou a fala do cliente e ofereceu possível ajuda posterior?
This was truly helpful thank you
Doctors and medical professionals know very little about pain and moreso chronic pain
They start off talking about problems... It is amazing how SFT has evolved and grown. Today this video would definitely begin differently.
I'd like to nail this therapist.😅
I learn a lot from it. He give me a better insight about transference
By asking her the question that’s going on in her life , most importantly what her values are , and getting her to write on the board making her visually, what is important to her staying track on what is important to her. Love his technique of conversation. 12:20
I like his style of interview, finding her trigger points
Hi! I love the video. Is there anywhere where I can purchase or get the worksheet that is in the video? Does anyone know where I can find it?
This desperation not to seem like you're asking a question is what puts me off PCT. The first thing she says is a question, "So you're...?" but she asks it without the inflection. That's all it is...
3:46 5:31
She just basically repeats everything he says without giving advice. That's not helpful. A person who already knows what their problems are, they don't want to hear them all over again. That's triggering and causes anxiety.
Did you even read the description?
It's so rude of him to call her a "stranger"! Even if she is, you don't say that directly to people. That's rude and belittling. I would've kicked him right out. He could've chosen to say "someone I don't quite know".
She is a stranger! She's making some nice $$. Sensitive soul?
@drclivemjones I am on part 2 of the lecture now and I am just astonished at how many degrees you hold and how knowledgeable you are. I am currently studying a Diploma Of Counselling with Open Colleges and have covered some of this so far with fair knowledge, but watching you're lecture so far has truly helped. The way you explain in such deal has really helped me, especially with how I would approach clients and talk with them during a session. What made me really excited after looking through you're degrees via the workplace you work at, was one of the degrees were completed at University Of New England in Armidale, NSW because that is where I am currently based, but I would not have been born during that time. If I was, it would have been a pleasure to meet with you. Many thx, a aspiring to be young counsellor :)
Thank you for your encouraging words. Armidale and the whole New England region is a wonderful part of the world!
I learned more in this video than in 2 years of MSW classes. Thanks.
Guys go read the reviews on this place first. I was about to study with them but thought I'd check the Google and product reviews.. Holy.. Yeah Glad I have, absolutely shocking.
Inti poin² nya apa pak?
Alhamdulillah dapat di mengerti juga🤲🤲🥹🥹🥹
No way?! Cock and ball torture role play?!
What do you do if the client becomes frustrated with this approach?
Brilliant and thorough video. Thank you for this
Thank you for your feedback.
damn Marcia's hot....
Excellent! Thank you!
Is there any scope in this session to consider the 'exceptions ' that exist within his current situation rather than immediately going for solutions that require a substantial change of circumstances? Just thinking that 3 months is often still a time of adjustment in professional and locational terms and that another approach could be to explore how small parts of the existing situation can be explored for solutions and different options. Not a criticism but a different line of the 'exception' technique.
Excellently executed. Learned a lot from it
Thank you very much it is very informative.
Good piece of work. I am glad to be a beneficiary of ACA Academy.
_hypnosis is THE most effective pain reliever; evidence based! Use what WORKS_
_actually of course, the most effective therapy is_ hypnotherapy _if you are spiritual, you would probably enjoy reading the pamphlet (written by Jesus no less)_ -- Psychotherapy, Practice & Purpose _The lecturer makes me think about Dabrowsky, his theory of developmental potential; he is "super-abundant". The mainstream would say he has ADHD! In other words, the teacher has heightened responses, and has learned to channel them._ He has become self-actualized.

Is it online course? I leave in assam,India.I want to join your courses if online available
My aunty is doing to me covertly. She's 91. I'm unwell. It's abusive
Hailey this was a wonderful presentation. Very helpful. I also enjoyed the mindfulness activity at the end. Thank you very much.
Oooooh please, not another “poor me” victim story. I’d love to have her advantages and first world problems.
Meanwhile, I’m 70’s + years old, physically disabled, living on social security benefits of $700/ month. In Mexico, because USA is not affordable….Considering her future options, I can’t see how she doesn’t have anything to do.😅
She interjects with lexical sounds such as uhum, mmm, mmm, ok which is a major no no in active listening. Notice how this accelerates the conversation and elevates his anxiety. I would walk out and never go back. You should not talk fast , nor make any noise while the speaker is speaking
4:37 damn it took this guy 4 minutes to get to the point.
