All of these “innovations” are absolutely useless or entirely moot until we have developed batteries or some other power source that can can keep us in the air and maneuvering for more than 5-15 mins at a charge. With charge times many degrees of magnitude greater than flight time. These are all intriguing, but power requirements put them out of any real practicality not to mention that their cost puts them squarely in the range of only very well heeled clients who can spend the kind of money these things demand for the moments, just moments, of pleasure they offer. They, no matter how much fun they may provide for those few minutes for those few people, are not ready for prime time nor will they be for the next decade without a breakthrough in power storage. I’m a flight instructor of 25yrs and over 8000 hrs of flight time. Until that future breakthrough you’re better off spending your money on an airframe that can get you in the air, keep you there and actually go somewhere reliably. These experimentals, by their own admission, are at the “bleeding” edge of development, with little to no “provenance” and with very little emphasis on that fact. They are not much more than, admittedly, very fun toys with very limited range. Grand dreams of the future, but dreams still a long time to come. And with the number of issues facing certified aircraft and their reliability and many of these in weight categories that don’t require a license, I’d be extremely careful about acquiring one until such time as the industry as a whole both developes and matures. The idea of these craft is more than exciting, the present reality somewhat less so. Temper the hype with open eyes.

No license needed cause you need 1000 permits and abide by another 1000 regulations. These things with todays technology are a stupidest business idea ever though off. the Jetson one is great...If you're a jockey! I'm not overweight at all, but, I'm over 6' and weigh approx 219 lbs. which makes me too heavy to fly it...$98,000 wasted! So, not only do I have to spend more on cloths than shorter people, I would have to spend more money on a more powerful vehicle, through no fault of my own than being born tall.....this is heeightist. What with this and Economy leg room, it's almost as if there's a tall-tax!!

Conservatives love to complain about government spending and handouts, mostly because they use inaccurate or incomplete numbers to base all their complaints... However! If some people really are a drag on society, it would be those who work for all the companies, institutions and universities that pour millions upon millions of whichever currency you prefer into these utter garbage 'solutions'. They will never come to fruition and do any good, only promise a whole lot of made-up sci-fi tech that is impossible to make or impractical to use for the sole reason of getting more money from inept billionaires and government officials. We already have ALL the tech needed to guarantee a sustainable high standard of living for everyone on Earth and to solve traffic for good. The solutions we need already exist but because they don't make headlines they get little funding. Future tech can and will do some good and help out a little bit - Electric microcars, cargo bikes and micromobility for instance. When you see renders like these, see them as billboards advertising how much money and time is being wasted bullshit projects that won't help anybody!

Great video. Way over-priced for us to see them reg. in our sky's in my lifetime. When they only have $10K or $15K worth of parts in them. Lets face it . They are crappy cars and crappy aircraft for the money. You be better off buying a Lamborghini or buying a regular ultralight airplane. To bad because these are the things of dreams but in America they must first be the things of greed. I understand growth but who has hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend on "depreciating" toys ? ANSWER: Only rich people and not middle-class people either.

Thank you. The first cars were also a luxury item, until Ford reduced the cost of production significantly. It will be the same with EVTOLs in 10 years. It is necessary to establish mass production, build a new infrastructure, coordinate regulation, wait for high-capacity batteries...

@@TopBoxyI hope so. My fear is they will keep everyone believing that it's not necessary because we already have ground transport for 'commoners.' At least, that seems like the argument for not already having done it, when it's definitely possible. The best argument I can think of FOR it, is that it could cut down the time and cost of commuting to work. What confuses me is how people I know laugh at the very idea, as if we are making too much of ourselves to think it's possible- when not only is it possible, it's already happening if you have a fat enough wallet.

Would be nice if more of the new tech could be specific to different farming and agricultural needs. Perimeter flying aria, checks, fires, intrusion, crop management etc. At a price available to the general farming sector.
