Nice video of concept eVTOLS. But it would have been much better if you explained details of "hybrid" propulsion. Small jet engine turning a generator sending electric to the electric motors turning the prop rotors? Or hydrogen going to a fuel cl which produces electric to the motors? Or something else?

Thank you. There are options with jet engines, and kerosene, and hydrogen plants that generate electricity. There are options for separate traction from batteries and liquid fuel engines. One manufacturer may have different options. So far, manufacturers are still studying and testing options, and it is not clear which one will be more effective.

When do we start racing these things?? Electric air races would be so cool 😎

Just bought an electric SUV ... a BMW iX xDrive50 Sport (Shadowline). Although I'm already quite satisfied and happy with my BMW electric SUV, it would be nice to buy an electric VTOL too, if I could afford it 😎.

Do you think the Odys aircraft is capable of vertical takeoff and landing?

Certainly looks more like an STOL than VTOL. That isn't necessarily a problem, though, for many applications, depending on how S the S is.

Travelling to and from oil rigs in the sea ! we could use these quiet machines in the sas or military operations as they quick and quiet we need longer and cheaper journeys if it were to go public or tourists

the one with wings and lift engines was one of my ideas ,ive built numerous models and the ones with wings and lift engines are stable ,,we are almost there ,,we just gotta get tye safety down,,and we got it ,,batteris is another problem we need to work on further ,,but we are almost there ,,until then i guess cessnas still have the skies

The triafan should actually be a 6 fan configuration and a single seat open air cockpit. Computer controlled rpm of the engined. Forget electric for this sport fun vehicle

I don't see a single one of these coming to market Some of them are just plain ridiculous.

These are more expensive then fully electric in terms of manufacture and price for mile, as hydrogen cost is not ready for mass adoption

I, JOAQUIN PEREZ-LOPEZ, invented the canard airplane AND the Cyclocar. The canard airplane has 4 wings which are 2 small ones in the front and 2 larger ones in the back. The Cyclocar has 4 cylinder shaped fan like propellers 💯😎 I also invented the diamond shaped electric airplane AND a carbon fiber electric airplane known as Dark Aero AND a solar paneled electric airplane that has 20 feet of wings with solar panels on each side 😎💯👼🏽 AND I also invented one known as Jetson!💯😎👼🏽

We have to start separating Evtol cars from airplanes hence the helicopters, dome of these designa are airplanes not flying cars, the concept of flying cars is something a normal person with no flying licence can operate with ease and it carrys not more than 5 people, and you can dock it in your own roof or garage, beyond that its just an electric airplane, specialy if you can walk around insode it, flying bus aka airbus aka airplane
