    I do not think they will go that fast with only 1cm clearance but maglev is definatly the way to go as there is no expensive maintenance. While I believe in cooperation between countries to develop a modified Japanese maglev that has an international standard guideway for ISO carriages and overnight container trains, competition between 10 separate contractors from the ten launch shafts between Parrahub and Canberra would not only keep the cost down but allow smaller players to innovate.
