reminder it is alot less calm than this and this is a light form of propaganda as we have dwindling army numbers and this makes it seem cozy
I am always fascinated by these. Sadly, I could never imagine one of our military units here in the United States ever learning, let alone performing, a native/first people's ritual from one of our many indigenous cultures.
Absolutley amazing
Wow.... alwys loved and mesmerised by the Moari culture... I am so glad to watch our GORKHA community n Moaris blending their warrior spirit n energy .... its power packed.... Jai Ma kali....ayo ayo Gorkhali❤❤
jak jest nielegalna to dlaczego można ją kupić ?
Lol so silly
Gurkhas with their Kukri Ardmore intimidating.
Two of the fiercest, well respected set of warriors who drive fear in the hearts of their enemies welcoming each other in their own traditional way is a sight to behold, Thank you NZ for such a wonderful day ❤❤❤❤
When the Argentine troops realised the Gurkha rifles were coming up the mounting they surrendered sharpish.......
Really cool ... can't see any thing like that in Swedish army ... maybe the closest thing can be during midsummer, when most Swedish people dance around a leafed pole singing a traditional song about frogs to music from an old French army march song ... :) I would love to see our soldiers in uniforms do that! Also nice to see the all NZ-people no matter their origin performs the haka (like in your rugby team). Hope it can stay that way! Too bad that NZ is sooooo far from us in Sweden!
If only those Asbestos encrusted barracks could talk, oh what stories they would tell.
I have tears in my eyes.. i don't know why !
Damn those kukris look slick. Great display from both sides!
good idea
Please correct it's GORKHAli Khukuri, love from Indian Gorkha
sorry, don't mean to piss on probably native new zeeland culture, but these dances are embarrassing as hell. Just stop doing them, you're not cool
Their was a time in my fathers life(I'm 70rs old)a KuKri if drawn, had to Taste Blood, As a retired Squaddie, I am proud to Give Respect to two of the Worlds Greatest Warrior's
Jay maa kaali , aayo gorkhali 🇳🇵
No one can beat Gurkhas❤
Meanwhile India has everything, Gurkhas, Sikhs, Rajputs, Naga, Assam regiments etc.
The English have always exploited their colonies in every which way with Edward Longshanks laying the foundation. British is a convenient Semantic.
Clowns
The Haka is always impressive, but I am more fearful of the Gurkhas
As an indian i find it funny
How the Brits tamed the Gurkhas and Mauris’ is well known. Now they work for the Brit’s who destroyed their ancestors
Absent of the cultural significance of the dances...It reminds me of the false bravado instilled in U.S. Marine recruits...at least in years past...Such bravado breaks into a thousand pieces as they see their friends brains splattered across their own faces...Just sayin.
Women will never understand this. 😅
This may be the first time Gurkha lost!😃
As much as I respect the Kiwi brothers of NZ Defence Force... the Gurkhas way more intimidating. Have you seen the Australian Defence Force welcoming?... yeah neither have I.
Pageantry doesn’t win wars
NZ love it when you remind them they aren’t the original people…. They’re cannibals…they are the original inhabitants.
Glad they’re both on our side.
my money is on the gurkhas, sorry guys ex 1 RAR
TOGETHER they are a formidable foe. They should stand together as one, united! IMHO!
Without a doubt, two equally deserving forces of history and the world's admiration and respect. In recent years, the haka has been so diluted by overuse by everything from rugby teams to children's choir groups. One grizzled US Army Ranger or Marine Corps E8 walking up alone, smoking a cigar, standing at attention, and eating that lit cigar will get more attention and show points.
This is seriously the hardest shit I've ever seen. Warriors still walk the earth
Cute lol
Both lots scare the sh*t out of me....Utmost rerspect for both....and the FFL
I would not want to be on the wrong side of either of them
See in England all we would say is .. Come and av a go if you fink your ard enouf
visit parkvale primary school
That was an amazing and beautiful display of critical historical warrior cultures. It actually brought a tear my eye, it fills my heart with hope that warriors still walk this realm.
Yep, tears of pride 🥹
And who destroyed these warriors?
👍
Seeing these two warrior cultures united under one flag must invoke the most unnerving sight that any enemy could face. That enemy would be well served to go a different route and live to fight another day.
Seriously hilarious 😂😂 Great culture though.
Whatever you do, don't get a Gurkha mad on you 😂
1:13 till 3:00 ... Me: "Uuuhm... Well, ... I just wanted to ask whether there's a tobacco store nearby or something?"😳
I chose to enlist in the U.S. Marine for among other reasons their emphasis on their history and warrior culture. Watching these two different modern warrior cultures reaching further back in time than my nation has existed gives me literal chills.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Gurkhas❤❤❤
